In my opinion the only good thing about this game is the box art.

What's with all these European releases being released so much later than their US counterparts?

Europe gets a pretty raw deal when it comes to console games....

They're not even translating from American English to British English. I find that all EU games still have the same text as US carts. How fucked up is that.

Worldwide launches are too expensive and risky. After you finish a game, you are in debt. If it doesn't do well in one part of the world, why risk more by launching it elsewhere at the same time? The developers need to make enough money so that launching it in Europe would be economically feasible. k?

But how do you know how the game will be accepted on a DIFFERENT CONTINENT. You can't and thats why that logic is ...... up.

I think its more about releasing games at the right time, when its more likely that people can buy games and when people don't have the money to buy them, plus they may take whats also gonna be released on the DS and other consoles in account.

Well that can be the only logical reason for me, a game like Zelda published by a giant like Nintendo is never gonna be risky right now on a console like he DS is it? Of course the smaller publishers may only be able to afford to release a game in one part of the world (advertising costs a lot) so that could be true for them.

Over here there always seem to be a period of time were people are saving up and not buying much so they can go on holiday and that.

As for this game, it would be pretty good if he controls weren't so crap.

Main reason games are released late in PAL territories is the M5 translation, which is required by law in various regions.

Where that excuse fails (UK-only, or English-only releases), there's usually distribution to worry about. Same reason the download-and-play services aren't available across regions, different distributors/publishers have different rights to different games in different locales.

That's not to say that any of these reasons are "good" or "bad," they just are.

It must be very frustrating for Nintendo Europe with regards to sales, when games are available State side in US Dollars which translates to a nice discount to us Europeans, especially UK gamers with the US dollar rate being so high.

That's one of the main reasons why I buy US consoles and games....that and I prefer 60Hz speed (17.5% faster) and no borders.

Surely it must inflate USA game sales? English voice/text in games is desired all over the world....just look at eBay to see where all these sellers are from...Singapore, Korea, Hong Kong, Japan....not to mention Australian who really get kicked in the pants game wise.
