This is going to appeal to the older people, they will see it as a game from their favourit paper... Probably is crap

I might actually play this, though English crossovers are still quite challenging due to English not being my first language, even though my English is quite good in my opinion.

Please let us know how good it is, will ya?

It seems polished as far as i can tell having played only 10 minutes. Menu is well done, It has quick puzzle, puzzle week, challenge, and a few other options. The crossword puzzles are great, very easy to control and write your answers down with the stylus or you can bring up the keyboard by using the select key. It has hints just in case you are stuck, also very easy to correct yourself if you make a mistake.

I haven't done crossword puzzles since I was a kid. Maybe I'll give this a go and see how I like it.

"The New York Times Crosswords features more than 1,000 real crossword puzzles and the unique ability to write in answers with the stylus or use a Touch Screen keyboard to enter letters. Various modes of play include Puzzle Me Quick for a fast word fix; Puzzle Week for extended play with progressive difficulty; or Challenge mode with adjustable time and difficulty settings. In addition, the game includes both cooperative and competitive 2-player play so puzzle fanatics can work together or face off in wireless challenges."

Thats not bad but can you see anyone actually paying more than £10 for this? Cos you can just buy a book with more crosswords for £3.99 but hey I can steal it so it won't cost me a thing

I think "real" is the keyword here. In those cheap crossword books all you get is computergenerated content. Take a list of
answers, chose a random part of it and combine it too a crossword. Could be the same for the NYT though. But then, if their
crosswords are famous enough to turn them into a game, maybe they DO have a team of crossword writes and testers to ensure quality.

I'd still prefer them in a book though

wait, whats the word search one with a bunch of letters in a box and scrambled,
then you try to circle them?
they can be horizontal, vertical, sideways

does this game have that mode?

NYT Crosswords are definitely written by real people.
