Better and more varied than Starfox DS.

Very nice game, great that the menus are in English, its easy to work out what to do in the missions and wi-fi is brilliant. Would've preferred stylus control though.

Look forward to an English release but I hope the voice overs aren't the usual shitness that we get in games.

Nice that Nintendo are still doing new games for the DS as well as franchises.

The voiceovers are no problem Hadrian! It's quite simple, using dslazy, to decompile both US and JAP versions of the same game and replace movie/sound files in the US game with the JAP ones! You then recompile to get a great game without cheesy voiceovers. An added benefit is that to my knowledge savestates are general for both versions...

It works great with Megaman Battle Network and Lunar Knights! Hoping to try it with this!

I get error 32010 when connecting to wifi. Any advice?

Please? I checked nintendo wifi .com, but it didn't help.

EDIT: I only get it when I try to download. Battles work fine.

I'm stuck on stage 12.

You are in a Stealth plane on a stormy night following another plane and have to avoid radar towers. I imagine if I understood Japanese, the voiceovers tell you what to do?

maybe this is good for all of you dreaming of top gun pilots .. top gun is very homosexual movie btw

I never cared for movies like Top Bum or for flying actual planes, but I love flying around and blasting bogeys out of the sky. It's one of my favorite genre of video game. So far, the only worthy DS flying games have been StarFox, Top Gun and now Jet Impulse. StarFox and Jet Impulse are about equal in terms of fun for me and Top Gun was decent, but too short.

So....anyone get passed stage 12? If so, how?

Rayder, just follow the guy, even when he goes higher up in altitude (iirc, when you go over the hills where the first radar tower is) and you'll come across some ground targets and planes.

edit - finished the game on normal, only 16 missions.

Expert mode = don't have unlimited 'B' missiles.

Im Stuck on Mission 2.
Coulkd anybody tel me, what i got 2 to?
Im always loosin' after a few secs...

Thx

Can someone with knowledge of Japanese language post what the different rows of stats for planes and weapons are? I know more bars is better but it would be nice if I knew what it was better atÂ

Click X when selecting the plane you shoudl figure a bit more out of that. This is a great game on the last level!
Level 16 is WTF

You follow the purple targeted plane thingy whatever and when you get to a certain point you shoot things down!

Wow, I must say this game is actually good and it in English too! I am hook on the story even tho I have no idea what they are saying, lol.

This game is great in general, considering if you played Ace Combat in PSX. This is one of the great titles I consider and can't wait for its english release next year.

I might write a game FAQ about this, since no one if gamefaqs ever bothered to write one about it. I finished all missions and currently playing expert mode (which is really hard considering you only have 30 default stingers).

I'd like to know why America has had to wait so long to get this released in English.

I took the Japan version out of my R4 quite a while ago now......all that Japanese text annoys me. It's a great game to be sure, but I want the English version already.

Probably they took long enough to dub the voices of the game.

Yeah, like you, can't wait for the english release, but I accomplished much in the Japanese game... anyway... nevermind that! =D
