Hacking Dreaded update questions

I have been putting off updating my Switch (8.1.0 - Atmosphere on SD) as the games I was running didn't require it. Yesterday was the first time a game asked me for an update, I was gutted lol .

Before I take the plunge and update I just need to be sure of a couple of things;

1. Is the latest firmware supported by Atmosphere?
2. Do I update the official way or via the exploit?
3. Will my games that I have installed run after updating?
4. Do I have to replace the game keys?

Sorry if all this has been covered before, just want to make sure I get this right. Its been a few months since I installed Atmosphere some I am a little rusty!

I just did this on my Switch, I am using EmuMMC, hopefully these answers will help:

1. Is the latest firmware supported by Atmosphere?
I updated my EmuMMC firmware to 9.1.0 with Choidujournx and everything went fine, took maybe 5 minutes once I found the Official Firmware and copied it to the root of my SD Card


2. Do I update the official way or via the exploit?
I used Exploit / Choidujournx but that's because I use EmuMMC


3. Will my games that I have installed run after updating?
All mine did, no issues at all.


4. Do I have to replace the game keys?
I did not.

The only thing im confused about is the EmuMMC bit, I am pretty sure mine is all on the SD card. What is EmuMMC?

EmuMMC is emunand, allows you to dump your nand to your sdcard and boot from it and keep your physical nand free of any cfw stuff so you can continue to update and use it online normally.

Think of it as dual booting.

1 - yes, atmosphere 0.10.2+ can boot all firmware versions 1.0.0-9.1.0
2 - ChoidujourNX to update, you'll need to firmware files, but we can't share those here, google: darthsternie
3 and 4 - you'll need to update your sigpatches for things to work.

I have 2 Switches so I will update the one with the least games on it, just in case I mess it up!

Both Switches are now running 9.1.0

I replaced the following on my SD card; Atmosphere, sig kegs, Hekate, fusee-primary with the latest versions. Installed 9.1.0 with ChoiDujourNXv102.
