Working hard to have them ship by Wednesday of next week. Sorting out all the import stuff now so that when I mail them out Friday or Monday it's only a day or two to get to Fulfilrite.

You've already done so much, I can forgive a delivery that arrives a few days after Dec. 25th, hell, I'd be cool if it showed up next year

@toxic9 dude stop. It's a hobby project. Not a professional printed device. He have had to hand solder a lot of em.

Yeah, I know... but it's a lot of promises.. and delays.
For almost one year I heard it's "almost" for sale!

I've seen no promises. All times have never been finalized as what I've seen. It was @Adran_Marit that tipped me of the 100 pre-units. Else I would been non the wiser :P

So be ready on Saturday then!

(And those are still V19 and not the final version...)

That was at a request of MatinatorX though :P

The only differences between ver19 and ver20, is ver20 has an rgb and injection molding

There's a giant red banner at the top of the website that says "400 will be in stock this Saturday!"

There are numerous messages in this thread detailing the reasons for leaving Tindie and about the stock for this Saturday.

There's a big announcent on the Discord explaining all of this, plus lots of discussion on the matter.

If you'd been following the project, or taken a couple more seconds to read things, you'd know most of the delays are either me improving the product for everyone (it was good enough for me only to use at v14), or third parties screwing up orders I've placed, which I then have to fix. If you feel like complaining, I suggest you hand solder over 4000 components the size of a grain of salt, 4 hours after a long day of work every day for a month, then see how you feel. Also consider that this originally started as a project just for me, and now I have thousands of interested buyers. Those DragonInjectors don't just pop out of thin air, and scaling things up takes a ton of planning. Setting up a fulfillment center and filling out the documentation to send thousands of dollars of goods over the border does not happen in one day. Working with local print shop companies for custom art, sticker and card prints does not happen in one day. Filing a trademark application does not happen in one day. Importing 2000 game cases via sea shipping does not take one day. Ordering large quantities of lithium ion batteries and getting approval for shipping them myself does not happen in one day. Scaling up the project to meet demand is not easy or quick. The amount of work required behind the scenes is far greater than you know - the delays are not due to laziness on my part. I am one person, I already have a demanding day job, and with this project added on top of it I've been working 15 hour days for months now. Not to mention, all of this business stuff is very new to me, and requires a ton of research to make sure I'm not setting myself up for a visit from the feds. Selling 20 handmade products on a forum isn't a big deal. Selling thousands of them on a web store is entirely different.

Seriously getting tired of people putting in more effort to complain then actually get themselves informed. I get that delays suck, and the development process has been much longer than anticipated, but I have been very adamant about not doing pre-orders and I've been communicating the process in detail this entire time.

Up until now I've had sympathy for those upset by delays, but at this point I've explained the reasons so many times in so many places that I'm just going to link this post from now on. A post I'm writing while I should be filling out customs export forms or prepping bar codes and ASNs for my fulfillment company, so that I can bring people the DragonInjector.

Remember that you have exactly zero stake in how this turns out right now. You haven't contributed to the project, you haven't put any money towards it and I've seen zero offers from you to help with anything despite it being an open-source community project.

Please consider all of this before you have me wake up to such a negative, useless post after staying up until 1am assembling 400 RCM jigs by hand.

I was just disappointed because I received an email notification saying it is on stock.
    OK?
I know this is a homemade project and it takes time...

Tindie does not allow me to send messages to waitlist members, this is one of the many reasons for leaving the platform. Modifying the product page to point to the new site and pinging people with a stock notification was the only way to let people know it's moved. As per their TOS, I have to retire products if they aren't Tindie exclusive and I can't inform people of stock on other platforms.

Imagine you signed up for the Tindie notification and weren't following any other information channels. Without that ping, this weekend's stock would completely pass you by without you knowing, and the next time you checked Tindie you'd see the product was retired and had been on sale elsewhere. That would be an actual reason to be frustrated.

Regarding my previous post, know that it's not directed entirely at you, but rather everyone who has made similar comments or is planning to. It's not meant to be offensive in any way, but I want you to understand where I'm coming from. These delays are just as frustrating for me as they are for you.

The Dragon injector is well worth the wait. I love mine. Leave MatinatorX alone. If i were him i would blacklist all the whiny baby bitches. NO DI FOR YOU! Stop whining. Patience grass smoker. I love my DI so much i am waiting to buy another. Not to mention the other projects he has in the pipeline. I hope to have them all. Matinator, how about the SATA to 2.5 inch enclosure to make the HDD portable and hands free next? The Dragon back pack right? I am eager for that. Would have made letting my nephews play the switch in handheld mode much more convenient. I think the kicker is next though, correct? Either way thanks man. Awesome work.

I was confused by it. I checked what was up and on the site where you normally can buy stuff. It said clearly it was moved to Dragonstore, so it wasn't anything special really.

I think that's maybe going a bit far. I do understand their perspective, it's just the unwillingness to look at the reasons behind my choices that's starting to bother me. I don't think they meant any harm by it.

The Pak is on hold pending DragonKicker and DragonMMC. They've evolved to the point that I think they may fill in for the Pak. Details soon. ;)

I can understand some frustration but considering how much time and money have been invested it's worth the wait. And hopefully the project pays for itself and is not a loss.

Should break even this weekend and get in the green at least a little. Will be a long time before I personally see any benefit though, as the profit margin is fairly low and all profits are going to fund more DIs until supply catches up with demand. :P

I totally agree with this post.

I gotta get a DragonKicker too. I wish I had the technical knowledge and experience to install the Kicker with card reader (though I do have the tools to do it and I am a risk taker :rofl2: ) but I am interested in the SATA to 2.5" enclosure, but it sounds a little more complicated to install, and also sounds like it would render my extended grip cover with matching carrying case useless.

It'll be an easy, solderless 10 minute install with detailed instructions and the triwing screwdriver included. Anyone can do it. :)

Well it got me back to the thread to see the news, so it worked out. I am just so excited! This feels like when I got my first EZ-Flash IV.
