Have you checked to be sure that "Enable Cheat" is ticked in the SC menu for the file?

I highly suggest using the triple loader. It makes using cheats SO much easier. I have basically abandoned SC's menu in favor of YSMenu as my main loader. Much easier for cheats (usrcheat.dat can be used) and the speed is amazing.

Yeah, the enable cheat is checked off. I'll try and see if YSMenu works for DQ5. YSMenu seems to be made for DSTT. Is there any procedures for Supercard?

I think the file 'ndsinfo.dat' needs to also be updated before it will recognize the cheat.

However, I don't know how to update that file myself.

Seeing how I believe that individuals have managed to get this game working on a Supercard DSOne is there someone that could post a small tutorial as to how to update the '.dat' file?

I haven't updated my ndsinfo.dat in over a month. Using the file i posted, I am able to get the menu to come up. It has also been confirmed working over on the SCDev forums.

The last time I updated my ndsrominfo was Fire Emblem (E) animated issue and Chrono (Japan)

it's that ok playing Dragon Quest V without any problem with that ndsrominfo?

Yeah, it will work, but you need to use and activate the cheat posted here (make sure you activate cheats in the patching options).
