So, I was playing around with the tabs on the save editor and I clicked "Treasure Data" I got curious what it was so I clicked "Map data" So there was a bar which was loading for about 15 minutes and when it was done, I checked the folder my save editor was in and there was a "MapSearch" DAT file. Now I am wondering what it does. Perhaps Yumil or anyone else could be kind and explain to me?
Its used with the treasure map search function in the same menu. Basically it contains data for all maps.

This is very helpful thank you so much. I gave my character a hairstyle i did'nt really want. any way of giving them certain spells?

Just go to the party tab and check off any abilities/skill effects you want.
You might have to search awhile with that drop down box.

Thanks but this might seem weird but everything in that box are just little lines that look like the number 1 but the other form where its just a line. This is also in some other sections such as the inn and monster areas.

Instal the East Asian Language pack in Windows. (Though you'll still need some basic understanding of chinese to continue...or just use guesswork)

Will downloading that help at all because I don't understand chinese at all lol so if it'll just turn them into chinese words then its not really worth it for me to download it. If it will help could you tell me a good place to download it from please because I've been searching and I can't find a good trust worthy site to download it from. You've been a huge help btw

This is for Windows XP, but hunt around your control panel and see if this or some similar method works

http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documen...s.mspx?mfr=true

Again, you might as well check off all the skills if you're not sure what to mark off.

Thanks I'll try it out when I get the chance.

I checked everything slowly and sadly came to the realization that you can't get any spells from the save editor. Since spells are completley level based and don't follow characters from vocation to vocation you can't actually teach characters this unless you give them the vocation with the spell you want and put them at the level they would learn it at. This is kinda dissapointing for me since I was looking foward to making an gladiator that uses fire spells.

I am having trouble opening the Exe file I get this message "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135)"

Make sure you have installed the .NET framework from MS.

Try making your wizard skill level to be 100

I'm a save editor noob but I wanna try this for DQ. Can I do this with Edge? Any links to beginner manuals or the like?

I've messed with it already and got it to work. I can't seem to change names though.

Anyone know how to do it right?

Are you sure to save your changes ? Because I don't have any other idea.

On another note, can someone give me a good hex value for a Kawasaki locker map ? I tried the one given on this topic, but I dunno if I messed up or if the code is false, but I get only crappy chests in it.
