ROM Hack Dragon Quest I-III in English?

Dragon Quest I, II, and III were released on 3DS in Japan a little while back, and I held on hope we'd get them when XI came out here. Well, we're not getting XI on 3DS, so the chances of them bringing I-III out here seem slim as well. These versions are based on the mobile ports. Do you think it would be difficult to patch in the English translation? It would be amazing to be able to play every DQ game (well, I-IX) on my 3DS in English.

I'd love to know this too. If this is possible, this could not only give us a full screen DQ1-3 experience, but give us multi language DQ 7-8.

I've seen somewhere that someone has successfully ported the korean translation from the android version of DQ 5 to the NDS version.

Here's a rough translation from the site:

Extracted Android Metabase vs. Nintendo edition of mess5 and menulist folder. Then, extract the font from the game, insert it into the font folder, and change the font names to zen10 and zen12. Look for main.(dot)101(dot)com(dot)square_enix.android_googleplay.dq5j.obb(replace dot with .) file in the android version and change it to zip format. After extracting, you should see a folder called msg which should contain a korean file called "ko". Copy that file to mess5 and menulist. Now you need the right font. (You need to extract the font from an already released game). Change the name of the extracted font to zen10, zen12, and put it in the Nintendo font folder g2d / font.
