Im glad to see such progress on this.. been anxious to play since I first heard of the game.

Anybody involved have any kind of guess as to when even a menu translation may be available?
Menu translations are already done, we're just waiting for text injection to start working. We're also learning more about the text files. I'd say that at the most, it would take 2 months to get text injection working, and patching up the text. It may take more time if complications arise, but it might not even take 2 months to get this working.

Edit: Ninja'ed xD
Like Nobody said, already translated the menu, with the exception of stuff that updates ex. character profiles, quests, achievements that I'm doing as I go.
I'm not translating in a straight line since all of the entries are randomized but I'm trying to get all of the first level done as soon as possible
since that's where all the game tutorials are. The file is huge tough, so it will take a while.

@hackotedelaplaqu , i looked into this further last night, and I found out that:
the pointer table consists of roughly 34,000 entires, each pointing to an entry. The entries have 2 pieces of information. What it corresponds to, and where it lives. Not sure exactly the calculation on the first set of hex values, but the next 8 bytes are the pointer address reversed.

after 17467 entires (i think), that first value repeats it self, and the whole table actually repeates itself. So entry #1 and entry #17467 are the same, being that the later ones are just altered versions (i do not know why).
They are either blank, hve furigana removed and are just the normal character set, or else different vertical/horizontal spacing formatting, and less characters used (more complicated ones to save space), which basicaally
say the exact same thing contextually.

So that means that you are close enough to fully understand the code and make a tool

I figured out how to unpack and repack JMSG files (at least for this game).
I haven't tested it yet because theyre packed inside of JARC files, and i used QuickBMS to unpack that.
I have not used it to repack a JARC.

Don't want to be that Guy but you have to know that it will fail. Quick bms reimport fonction only works if modified archive is equal or smaller than the original file. A jap to english translation is obviously bigger.

Edit : please note that the same issue applies to CPK file. No, you'll have to build your own jsmg, jarc and cpk repackers here. Last one is messy as hell.
BTW : do we know if the game use variable or monospaced font? Is there some latin text in the game? How does it displays?

Does this mean for sure English is coming? Either way.. as already said.. I doubt any future localizations will be out any time soon. More like next spring/summer if I had to randomly guess

But why apply for a rating if they don't plan to release soon? and I'm sure Brazil is lower priority than USA and EU (no offense)

I'm surprised they're going to release this, but still not Ultimate Mission. We probably won't see it until Spring 2017 though.

I was really hoping to hear about an English release in the 3ds Direct. Nothing though.

So are you guys still going to try to work on this?

Dragon ball fusion did'nt released in eur or usa then why is this thread here. Are you guys playing a jp version? or is there a fan translated version?
