I have a 4.1 switch and i wish to install some demos in it. Is it possible to get them without updating to acces the eshop?
Is it possible to share demos between 2 consoles with different firmware?

Yes you can temp update and not burn any fuses

You have to wait before take that decision.
I heard 3.0.0 will gonna have coldboot and easy access to CFW without jig or pc.
In my opinion it’s worth to wait. However it’s up to you.

You won't lose them but anything that requires higher firmwares to work will now stop working

Yeah that‘s true. However, on lower firmware it‘s easier for hackers to find entry points. So it depends on what you want to do and how patient you are. You could also update to the latest firmware and use SX Pro. In the end it’s your decision.

2. do not update and just pirate the full games in some fashion
3. buy another Switch, do not hack it, and keep that one up-to-date

I‘d recommend the third option if you can afford it. I‘ve two consoles myself and I think it‘s the best solution where you have the least limitations.
