Apparently you can downgrade from 10.4/10.5/10.6 without a hardmod.

**NOTE: 10.6 requires a pay entry point (OOTHAX or Cubic Ninja)**

Memchunkhax3 makes it possible to downgrade NATIVE_FIRM 10.4 to downgrade on BOTH OLD AND NEW 3DS!

I would probably add a disclaimer saying you should have a hardmod before trying it. It's a bit early for random O3DS users to just go in and expect things to work perfectly.

Things I want to add. Delete predownload update https://gbatemp.net/threads/guide-delete-predownloaded-update-spotpass-nag-sysnand-only.381489/ if your O3DS/2DS is <10.6; AND remove tubehax dns before you downgrade.

No point risking this on <10.4 in case you're not doing it for science. The other method is more tested on <10.4, so just to be safe.

svchax does not work on 9.3-10.3 yet afaik. Use the old sysUpdater for that.

Yeah, there's been one confirmed softbrick and one the person never reported back when we told them to take out the SD card.

The brick rate should be about the same as memchunkhax 2, as it is the same thing but on the GPU rather than the CPU.
