Homebrew Down/Upgrading sysnand

My o3ds has a partial upgrade from version 4.4 to, I'm pretty certain, 9.9.
I don't know how or why, but I have an updated browser (version 1.7610) and probably other stuff.
Was using gateway.
I managed to get homebrew running through browserhax (sliderhax). Unable to proceed with menuhax because of conflicting versions.
If anyone has any suggestions without using any game exploits, please share.

You could always get into HBL with browserhax, then run PlaiSysUpdater and downgrade to 9.2.0-20X. Just make sure you are really above that version first. Another solution would be to update to a firmware version 10.5 or less using the update files on a retail game cart, then re-downgrade and all that from there.

Hi thanks for replying. I've tried PlaiSysUpdater, unsuccessfully, in getting to load.
So if I was to upgrade with a game, to 9.9, is all I have to do is find a game that came out before September last year?
