I got a lot of free time on my hands when i don't have lawn work or a job to keep me busy, and i remembered i had my old Nintendo Wii from many years ago when i last used it to dump Gamecube games (Letterbomb'd initially). feeling nostalgic, i figured i might as well try looking for an HDMI mod for it, just for fun

by this forum's standards, is there an HDMI mod kit for a Nintendo Wii that's more preferred/stable than others? the Mobo revision on my Wii is WH-40

Wii HDMI mods aren't cheap unfortunately. AFAIK ElectronAVE is the most popular. https://electron-shepherd.com/collections/all/products/electronave-kit

To be clear, you don't need to mod the Wii for HDMI, there are a ton of external adapters out there, the mods are just a more expensive option boasting higher fidelity, because they avoid the Wii hardware's default digital > analog conversion.

HDMI mods for the Wii console are somewhat "niche" mods, as they're expensive, as @Exidous already pointed out.

But mind me a little, I saw a YT video some time ago, that shows precisely that, but can't remember the exact wording nor the link to it, so you could try and search on YT. Most likely is pretty much related with an expensive mod anyway.

The most affordable mod is to put this

as an internal device, you open the plastic and solder the AV/Port pins directly to the main board. it works, but, seems redundant, the device is nice even outside.
