I'm assuming IOS 30, 50, 60, 70 are protected (cannot install stubs), right? To prevent tard bricks?

They are, I did not see this option for 60 so I am assuming the other are as well. Think about if these will not be...LOL.

yeah...hence the bolded portion

properly Lazycus is right...

But maybe you should get a member of the dop-os MOD Team and commit your changes to the SVN.
What about getting in contact with Arikado ?

his google code email adress is [email protected]
Would be nice to see you team up.
Not going to happen.

His modification includes code from applications which themselves are broken. His modification also hopes to eventually have the ability to install warez (I'm under the impression that it doesn't work right now). According to comments, the majority of his application doesn't work. Why would we want this merged into our version?

The only thing I'm envious of is that he got signcheck working. But Lunatik fixed my signcheck implementation yesterday and will commit the working version later today.

In short, we're not missing out on anything. We'll also be adding new features into Dop-IOS MOD (which his version won't have until he copy/pastes us again) as soon as possible.

@OArikadoO

Is any reason why IOS202 does not show under IOS? or it is just a bug. I have it installed and I can see it in ATD. TY

Isn't that like a custom cIOS or something?
Its an cIOS used by MPlayer to read data from USB (it enables USB2.0)
Its rarely used for backup launching afaik, but its possible

QUOTE(longtom1 @ Dec 31 2009, 11:48 AM) has never shown IOS202 shows 222, 223, 249, 250 and 254

It only shows the IOS that can be stubbed. IOS202 has not been stubbed by Nintendo (afaik). 222, 223, 249, 250, and 254 are on the wiibrew.org official IOS list. That is most likely why they were included in Dop-IOS and 202 wasn't.

@bula
you can see it in ATD because you can see EVERYTHING in ATD. Hence the name ANY-Title-Deleter.

I know that but I was just wondering why was left out.

It was left out because there is no IOS202 on the NUS servers...therefore it would not be possible to acquire it legitimately and "dop" it. Also, the devs aren't too keen on all the cIOS stuff since it's mostly used for piracy. The only reason that 222,223,240,250,and 254 are included is to give users the option to install the stub.

P.S. In case you're confused as to what exactly "dop"-ing is....it doesn't apply patches to the IOS that are currently on your system. It loads the IOS into memory (after reading it via wad/00000001 files and/or downloading from NUS) and applies the patches in memory. It then installs the patched IOS.

Arikado, I updated my Wii via Nintendo to 4.2. So I got a virgin Wii including all stubbed IOS 222, 223, 249 and 250. However, when I tried to delete them with Dop-IOS MOD IOS250 was missing. SignCheck as well as syscheck said, I have a IOS250 v65535. So is that the stubbed IOS250 or what? I think it is not the stubbed IOS250 but why? The Ninty 4.2 Update should stub my IOS250, but it didnt.

the reason IOS250 didn't get stubbed cause the version number of Cios250 is higher than the official one and so will not be updated

What does this mean ? I don't understand.

the official IOS250 v65280

and the cIOS250 v65535(Backup of 249)

if the version installed on the console is greater than the one included in the update it skips the installation of that IOS

Why is there the cIOS250 v65535 in the first place, for a fresh new Wii ?

Must have been hacked before the update cause the only way to get IOS250 v65535 is by installing wanni's cIOS

um ok, but which revision of Waninkokos cIOS? I'm not sure what revision I installed on my 4.1 Wii before I updated via Nintendo.

But by any Chance, this means I could use IOS250 for Dop-IOS MOD and for a cIOS Installer instead of trucha patching IOS36 since the IOS250 is already trucha patched?

correct but it's always good to have a patched IOS36
