Hacking Does the R4iGold have backdoor updating?

Can I use my R4igold (http://www.r4ids.cn/) ON a 3ds xl ver 6.0 to update at all, or am I forced to use an older console/ correct firmware?

I know some carts can update if leaving on for 3 minutes with proper files at the "error power off" screen

Yeah, that option is possible, but I know I could find a local DS somewhere to do this.

Im just hoping horribly that the update comes soon. I literally got my 3DS Xl yesterday, and thought to myself, this update cant be above 5.0.1, I had JUST used my friends the day prior! DOH

Yikes, I can see how someone could make that mistake. Hopefully the r4ids.cn team will have an update. They have been a letdown in the past for people, like myself, because they may put out a new revision and stop support for older revisions.

I think this time at least an update will be out soon.
Yeah you can just borrow someone's system that is running an old version or get the 3ds update they sell :)

    I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet :(

    Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
