why, would you want to use =+Rs anyway -Rs are the discs to use, alot better for the wii.

poundland DVD+Rs work for me, signalex brand, worked for every one of my games, no book typing what so ever.

To anwser the title question, not without at least a softmod. No licensed Wii software may "officially" read any standard DVD format.

People who keep saying "no book-typing whatsoever" , are misinformed.

Your drive is book-typing it to DVD-ROM for you automatically.

My Toshiba dvd burner automatically book-types the dvd media to DVD-ROM, when I burn to it. I know this because I checked on both the manufacturers website and various tests.

ImgBurn swears my media is DVD+R and didn't change. It is burned in DVD-ROM format though. I tried with my other burner (that cannot be book-typed to DVD-ROM) and no game would work in the backup loader.
