I have a FAT PS3 that routinely overheats during stressful games, extended sessions, and will sometimes even crash during PS2 games. Webman Mod reports that my CPU averages around 152 F (67 C) when I've left it idling with the fan speed at 50%
Clearly this is an issue as I just can't keep it cool. I keep turning the fan settings up but they can only go so high.

Does anyone have a good cooling solution to make my life easier and my PS3 last longer? I've already opened it out to clear out all the dust and gunk so there should be good airflow.

Use a ssd. You can also put a real big fan pointing toward your ps3. I used that for many many years on my pc.(way better than ziploc and ice!!)
