does anybody know how to install wifi drivers in ubuntu

I think you can install them from the Ubuntu Software Center. You need to agree to installing the proprietary package somewhere there. You might need an internet connection in the first place to do that though, but you could use LAN for that temporarily.

It's a pretty old version of Ubuntu but the steps should be similar as long as you're on Unity.
