Hello everyone. I've taken an interest in the Nintendo switch recently and like many of you on here, am somewhat inclined to fix stuff and enjoy a good troubleshoot.
So, I've decided to start buying broken switches. So far I have been able to fix 3 different issues, the first of which being a sound related one. The TLDR here is the speakers were not working. Removed and replaced with some others, now works great! I documented the process - it's a bit lengthy so fast forward will be your friend. I edited a lot out but like keeping some length...lol
Please keep in mind, this is my first repair on one of these consoles and at the time I had actually never even played one.
Since this repair I have invested in many tools including an smd heat gun, a heat resistant mat with organizer, ifixit tool kit, USB camera, flux and some other stuff.
I am in no way an expert and am not claiming to be one. I just enjoy fixing things and learning new things along the way. Please, offer suggestions and feel free to chime in when a mistake is made. That's how we learn.
I intend to continue posting - I have another 2 videos coming soon documenting other repairs I've done so far. I have more switches in the mail coming to me as I type this.
