Got a 2nd hand Wii with everything except the cable. Bought myself a component cable and there are loads of fine horizontal purple lines across the screen of the TV whenever the Wii is running. I have since tried a normal Wii cable which is fine but SD, and another component cable, same lines.
My 360 runs off the component input no problem, so I'm thinking it's the Wii or the cable.
Neither cable was an official Nintendo one, could that be the reason or am I doomed to play my Wii in its SD glory?
