I know. Keep in mind that the database is not thoroughly polished meaning that it doesn't contain all games and/or it's missing several info/hashes.
That's interesting. I think it would be best to try and contact the mod dev or something. From what I know, they've been busy with other things. That's not the issue right now though, it seems to be a general error, security error or whatever. All of my ROMs that I had previously injected and had no issue downloading box arts/start screens, all of them have this issue. all GBA Pokémon games, Golden Sun, Megaman Zero, to name a few. I opened the program just now and confirmed this.

...use the New Super Ultimate Injector and the latest version of SFRom Tool...
Facing the same issue here, any alternative way to download the covers and banners in the meantime? The GBA Icon Banner Generator seems to be down too.
I think the randomizer heavenly changes the original ROM, to the point it is in fact a different ROM and it doesn't make sense to apply the OG patches. I think you'll be fine without any patch / special setting. (In fact, sometimes apply those patches to a patched ROM could produce some unexpected behaviors - MaternalBound Redux outright crashes with MOTHER2 patches). Are there any special instructions for LttP Randomizers? The game name starts with VT with letters/numbers after it instead of "ZELDANODENSETSU" like the original (along with the ROM Map being LoROM/FastROM instead of the original's LoROM/SlowROM, and the SRAM and ROM Size being 4x the original's size), so I'm not sure if it can make the right patches or if it even needs them.
(Only randomizer thing I found in a search is with a LttP + Super Metroid combo that didn't work at all for the person.)
I did try a retro/enemizer for a few hours without any settings and it seems to work fine. And thanks for the heads up on MaternalBound Redux and other game changing patches.I think the randomizer heavenly changes the original ROM, to the point it is in fact a different ROM and it doesn't make sense to apply the OG patches. Does the "sleep patch" work with all GBA games? or can some be buggy?
if there are issues with the game should it be obvious when booting it up and playing it for a minute, or is it possible that issues will only show up halfway through? i wouldn't want to have my save files get corrupted after putting hours into a game already. Some games will fail to load with the patch, others exhibit weird behavior, so yes, it's not a one-size-fits-all thing.
