Say if supposedly, there was a new release or completely remade version of NSUI that may or may not have been in development at any point in time, would that totally hypothetical version ever get released in the near future or at all by any chance?

Cause man, I would really look forward to using a better version of that program that also lets me sort and manage custom injects for 3DS systems. As well as not having to juggle between two different builds of that program to get certain things working. That and on top of having some quality of life changes, fixes, and other stuff that those older versions don't have.

For the next version, I suggest contacting @DarkAkuma to integrate his Sfrom Tool with NSUI. Sfrom Tool basically packages and patches SNES games to run as best as they can on 3DS emulator (which is the same as one used by SNES Mini, Wii, Wii U and Switch).

We wrote a guide here to use NSUI to create the CIA and Sfrom Tool to convert the ROM, but obviously a proper integration would be better.

Thank you! Sure I will. I'm grabbing a lot of information, tools and methods to implement in a future version of NSUI :)

Has anyone else had an issue with virtuanes injects not storing save files? I have a few games that only work using it, but they also have battery saves and I'd much rather be ableto access those save files instead of continually using savestates

I cannot for the life of me get NSUI to use any font other than Microsoft Sans Serif. All other fonts I've tried error out, saying they're not TrueType fonts (they absolutely are). It's infuriating. The font I'm trying to use, SCE-PS3 Rodin Latin Bold, is the correct font for VC injects, but I can't use it because NSUI thinks it isn't TrueType.
Update: NSUI likes the font on, of all things, a Windows Vista VM. I'm at a loss for words.

I wanted to create injects for gb games which have special pallets in gbc. I have found some .pal files with custom palettes in this thread, but how do i add them? I tried using the button "Load scheme ..." in the "Inject method options" but it doesn't change the palettes. Is there another way to use these special palettes?

When I inject Final Fantasy V (snes version) the game only starts if the rom is clear, if I want to apply an english patch, the game screen goes black and I have to hold power on the 3ds to exit.

Hi! I don’t know is anyone in here have a solution for my problem. I tried to export Cia from GBA file by using NSUI 27 and 28 but they both did not export the cia for me. They did show the pop up screen that said “ Cia Exported” but once i check on the folder, there was none of the file was exported. I have tried v1.6b. It exported the cia file for me but after i injected it on my n3ds via FBI. I ran the game it just show blank white screen.

Thank you

Nope, GBA games run under a different firmware like DS games do, but if you use Open_AGB_Firm to play GBA games instead you can use borders (but they have to be in a specific format and size to work)
Thank you, I have only used NSUI, I am going to investigate that program that you recommend. :3

have you tried one of these softwares that fix the checksum and whatnot. It might work. Otherwise don't inject use emulators

It seems the problem was the hack that I used. I tried with another translation hack (Final Fantasy V - GBA Script Port) and it worked.

I still don't know why the problem happened in the first place, the translation I first downloaded was the oldest one I found in romhacking.net made by RPGe.

Hi, Im getting "failed to apply 1 FIRM patch(es)" error every time I launch a GBA inject. The rest of the injects (GB, NES, etc.) work just fine. Any solution for this? I have already tried updating Luma with no luck...

It seems you are either trying to use a GBA rom in Spanish or you 3DS is set to Spanish?
