Discovered a METHOD for UPDATING outdated Games.

Currently on 4.1.0 so this might work for previous versions.

Currently the game I am testing with the method I have discovered is as fallows.

Currently UPDATING NBA 2K18

Next few hours UPDATING Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2

Lastly I will be UPDATING Xenoblade Chronicles 2.


This is still in TESTING and I am thinking of uploading a YouTube Video of my finding but it depends on many factors. If I get in contact with the right people within the community I can better determine if releasing my finding would be a good option.

Fingers crossed all works out, I'm all about helping others so in no way am I trying to hold out on giving this information out so easily. I won't be specific but some eyes and ears don't always need to learn from our community, outside companies for example.

I've been thinking about buying Splatoon 2 but decided not to after the old method for updating games only got patched out.

I am almost done with NBA2k18

As I said this is early findings for me.

I only just purchased the switch on 4.1.0 in question 2 days ago that I am doing this on.

Was apart of a team for Remote Play on all android devices for the PS4. Was able to play my PS4 on my S7 edge at a park with my PS4 at home.

Anyways for those who may doubt I've never been a liar. As I said I'd like to speak with some of the main people associated with development on the switch to see if releasing myy findings now or in the near future our in all of our best interests.

UPDATING games specifically on 4.1.0 switch.

As of now what I found is the only method available. Believe me I looked but no one else released an alternative to what I just found honestly minutes before my original post.

I'm hoping one of the main developers in the switch community to give me the go-ahead on releasing a how to.

I wanted to be sure when the info is released that everyone has the opportunity to benefit, say before the method is fixed for example.

Whilst I appreciate your efforts with this, surely the longer you hold out on sharing this the more opportunity N have to fix it whilst waiting. Also not sure why you would need permission from 'developers' to share this information

Just my two cents, but Nintendo might have "seen" you download games on a 4.1.0 Switch and are working on fixing it, making early release of this method highly beneficial.

I was quick enough to update all of my games before they released 5.0
The only game that has received an update after 5.0 is Splatoon, so if this method works I'm updating it and Kirby once I get it.

It's not that I need permission I wanted their input on if it was best to inform everyone how now or later.

I agree I think now would be better but I could be wrong.

On one hand releasing sooner could avoid an immediate patch idk for sure.

How about this, I'm getting the money together for Zelda Breath of the Wild as we speak based on my new findings. Happy enough NBA 2k18 is fully running, felt like I had wasted my money how limited the game is without an update.

I will be leaving for the store to Buy Zelda within a few hours. I'll probably just do the Game update video for Zelda as a how to. That should make many happy. To be clear i may just release the Game update method how to video today.

It might I don't see why not as of yet. We will find out soon I'm sure. Once the method is released maybe you'll be the first to give it a try on 3.0.0
