Ok,
so I have a Wii that was updated to 4.0. I downgraded following one of the procedures. Anyways, a couple of backup games worked through the bootloader channel. Now none of my games worked no less than 5 hours after a thought to be successful downgrade.
Question is =
1 - Could it be a bad laser (unlucky timing)
2 - did it brick the Wii
3 - will a software reset through the Wii menu fix this?

Any help is much appreciated as I am freaking out. I did a search but didn't come up with much, hopefully I am not repeating stuff on here.
Thanks in advance

I guess I will give it a shot. But I can't help but think that this has some relation to the downgrade, ios, and backup channel install. Seems pretty odd that my laser would need cleaning or a new one the same day I doo all this stuff.
Thanks again.

First thing I do tomorrow is get the lens cleaner. But just in case, if the cleaner does not work.
What are my options. Wii format? New lens? Paper weight?
Thanks for the help.

to play the games via usbloader, can they just be the image file, or do you have to burn it to a usb drive like you would a disk?

You can add games to a USB drive with your computer, from an ISO file, or with your Wii, from a disc.

loooots of threads on this, you have a special filesystem called wbfs that u have to install on the usb drive.. then you can install iso's using e.g. wbfsmanager in windows on it... (or dump games from discs usin the wii but you won't be able to

My friend and I opened up the Wii, turns out the drive went bad. The game doesn't even spin. Time to USBload. Thanks for all the help.
