I've tested some more games:

Pokemon DX - Gale of Darkness [PAL] - Perfect
Geist [PAL] - Perfect
Jedi Knight 2 - Jedi Outcast [PAL] - Working (Music does not stream)
Sonic Gems [PAL] - Perfect
Sonic Heroes [PAL] - Perfect
Metroid Prime 2 - Echoes [PAL] - Perfect (including Multiplayer)
Medal of Honor - European Assault [PAL] - NOT WORKING (Error Screen on Boot)

All of the games tested are untrimmed propers coverted using DiscEx 0.8, booted using the New method without the NoDisc Patch.

Is only the first mermorycard slot suported by Dios Mios?
Tried to access slot B within Baiten Kaos but the game freezes (I have memorycards in both slots)

No one has the same problem?

1. Use the latest version of CFG USB Loader (mod v70r35 beta)
2. In the Options under "System" set the DML version to "DM"
3. If you store your wii games on an NTFS Partition, you have to switch to your primary FAT32 Partition under "System" in order for CFG to show the GameCube Games on your HDD.
4. Save the settings

If you happen to get a code dump like me when switching to your FAT32 partition, I suggest to install a clean MIOSv10, reinstall the Dios Mios wad file and re-download the latest CFG Loader version, that fixed the problem for me. Hope I could help

Damn pokemon XD works for you? I'll try reconverting. (what exactly do you mean by "the new method"?)

Dios Mios Booter has the option to use either the "Old" booting method (GC game disc needed) or the "New" one (Any disc, Wii or Gamecube works plus there's the options of NMM and NoDisc).

Well, I have been using CFG Loader up until now, I'll go try DM Booter when I get back to my wii. thanks for being helpful :D
(I have a GC disc inserted so would it matter what method I use?)

I'm just using the New one because it offers extended functionality, I'm not sure if there are any other differences.

Firstly, thanks to Credier for Dios Mios which is fucking fantastic.

What kind of speed differences are people seeing between USB devices and SD cards? I'd imagine random access is better for smaller stuff and games while USB is better for games with large assets (whatever they may be... ones like MGS perhaps).

Also, how do people reboot back to the Wii or their USB loader program when using DIOS MIOS?

From DML to DM, I;m finding games are loading significantly faster (thought this probably has to do with my SD card). Shit is so much faster and overall I'm absolutely delighted at the speed increases.

I've tested some games as well. All should are NTSC U iso.

Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker- I've played upto the first dungeon and everything works fine. Lovely. Playable
Skies of Arcadia- Played toe the first dungeon and it works great. Playable.
Tales of Symphonia Disc One- Works brilliantly. However when I reach to the end of disc one, I have no screen telling me to change discs but rather a screen notifying me there's been an error instead. Working
Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes: Disc One: Played upto the second boss and it works great. However like ToS, I'm concerned about switching disks.

Overall, DM works really well for me with my only concern being around the multi disc games.

I don't mean to bother, but my post kind of got lost in the controversy on the previous page. Is there any way to get a DM log file so I can see what's causing my controller issue so it can be fixed? The only game that the controls won't lock up for is Luigi's Mansion and I have no idea why.
Only via USB Gecko, there is no other way currently.
Yes there is via usb loader gx

Mind telling me how I would do that?

I'm using Configurable USB Loader with DIOS-MIOS, and I'm wondering if there's a way to not have the drive LED flash while playing GC games off USB.

I tried Wiiflow mod and the GC games show-up but when I try to load them it siad I need to copy them on a SD Card but I don't have SD Card.

Installed the DM Booter channel(latest) and it can't find any games just the disc on the drive.

That means you either dont have DIOS-MIOS installed or you dont use r506.

You should use my HBC pack from google code, thats newer than the channel.

I was using DIOS MIOS BOOTER SVN r24 and had no issues, switching to r26 whenever I switch to usb I get a blank list of games. Switching back to r24 fixes the issue.

I'm sorry, this comes from another topic but in the end it's the same..

My bro's Wii has a D3-2 drive... I've installed diosmios20 wad already, dios mios booter recognizes the game under my external 80GB FAT32 drive (primary partition) but as soon as I load it, it'll blackscreen.. I put a smash brawl DVD copy I had (not original), and I don't have an original Wii game right now (they're faaar away). Could be the drive/DVD backup causing this??

Smash Bros Melee (GALE01) is the game i'm testing now.

I tried 2 wiis without any luck so far. (One with a D3-2 drive, and no original disks to try (bro's wii), and one using a D2A Drive with a Wiikey v1 chip (mine's even GC audio streaming working from DVDs)

But I still get blackscreens by either running DIOS MIOS booter or USB CFG Mod (games are even shown under both of them, from SD and USB)...

edit: yeah diosmios20.wad installed successfully on real NAND, BC v6 too, twice!

Maybe the usb drive, someone else had a similar problem, tried another usb device and that one worked perfectly.

I tried both an external 80GB IDE to USB (working fine on CFG) and another 320GB external sata 2,5 to USB (working flawlessly on any Wii homebrew/loader/etc). from SD behaves the same ;-;

ok. Just a quick run down. I tried several games and these are my findings in general. Maybe later I'll post a full list.

On some games when running thru USB Loader GX I have to force interlaced mode. If I don't either the game will act funny or the bottom lines of the screen will be messed up. However running them thru DMB they work perfectly fine in progressive mode.

Mario Golf does not work at all for me thru USB Loader GX. However it loads great with DMB.

Majora's Mask on the Legend of Zelda, The - Collector's Edition locks up just before you enter the town when using DM. However the game runs fine when using DML.

USB Loader GX issue only.. but two disc games like the Resident Evil games it thinks they are all the same. So I have no way of renaming them to Disc one/ Disc Two. I figured for now it's no big deal.. but something to make note of. If I ever do start a two disc game I'll just install them one at a time depending on which disc I am using.

As we all know some games required an actual disc to be in the wii drive.

As well as NMM is a hit or miss thing. One of the nice things about using USB Loader GX is I can at least specify per game which ones use NMM and which don't. Instead of having to remember.

Anyways looking forward to the next release.

Thats no problem of DIOS-MIOS, its because of nintendos crappy port which also freezes quite often when using the original disc ;)

Just tried out Skies of Arcadia (NTSC-U). using DM2.0+ on USB Loader GX and it prompted me to copy the game over to a freakin' SD card. Why? I don't know. Other games don't prompt me, but this one does.
Do you mean the box that comes up with 4 options? Does that for all of my games that are in USB. Cyan just added a quick patch to allow you to run from USB, do you still have your SD card in? The others may not bring up the menu as they are already on SD.
What? Twilight Princess never prompts me to do that, but Skies of Arcadia does....wtf? Is there no way to bypass the annoying prompt?
A good workaround I could think of in order to make it think you have ALL your GC games on SD still and not show the prompt ever :

copy your whole /games/ folder to the SD card EXCEPT the "game.iso" files. Put an empty, fake, zero byte "game.iso" file in each folder (maybe make an empty text file or something named like game.txt and rename it to game.iso and just copy it to all the folders.)

That way I'd assume the loader will just see the file and assume it's there already and not prompt and you won't lose too much SD card space over it.
At least until they fix the code so it realizes it doesn't need to prompt at all.
