Took me long enough, but I finally figured out what I did wrong:

My hard drive formatter didn't allow me to modify the cluster size of the FAT32 partition, and defaulted it as 64KB.

I formatted it with another program and it works fine now!

Thank you all!

Two questions I really want to be answered.

1. Does DML support ocarina cheats because I enabled cheats in DML Booter and have the .gct file in the codes folder but codes still won't work.

The no-disc patch isn't something you need to find or download. You just start DM without a game disc in the slot. And as long as your drive spins discs, you can enjoy DM(L) since the game discs are not actually read from during playing off USB.

I tried to use DML before with a disk in the drive but I got an error that the disk id was wrong and the process failed.
Is the motor broken on the drive? What happens when you put in a disc? Like i said it doesn't actually need to read the disc. and yes, the no-disc patch is set by the loader but doesn't work with all games
When I put in a regular Wii or Gamecube game it spins for a bit then black screens with white text that tells me that an error has occured and to turn off the system and eject the disk. (Which is a step beyond what it used to to, it used to simply say the disc could not be read in the disk channel) it does this with all disks.

I have the most recent DML set up already, how would I do the no-disk setup from here? (I have my gamecube backup of Luigi's Mansion on my SD card already) If I were to do this with usb, how would I set the game on it? DML has usb marked as WBSF, I thought that was a wii thing?

Edit: I have it working, Luigi's mansion seems to be fine, but I can't use my controller in other games. Tried with Windwaker and Super Mario Sunshine, I couldn't press start to play the games. Pokemon Colosseum Blackscreened when I pressed start. Should I redump them on my friend's wii? Would scratches on the disks affect them? (They still play on other consoles)

(Long time lurker, first time poster, Hi~ :) ) (Also, I hope this is the right page, it seems to be for DM & DML...)
I see that F-Zero GX is listed in working condition on the http://wiki.gbatemp....patibility_List page with only an NMM issue right now.
After ripping my game and then using Discexe.exe without -c, I started a new game, it works great & fast but I noticed somethin in the story mode part 2 (the Samurai Goro canyon race). I thought that the boulders' shadows flicker or don't show up properly. Has anyone else experienced this? (I think I saw somewhere else that Wind Waker has/had a similar problem...)
I'm using:
DML 1.5
real NAND
USBLGX 3.0 r1191 &/or DML Booter svn24 (same results with either IIRC)
8GB SDHC - FAT32 with 64k clusters
480p + widescreen and with a GC official memory card + controller

EDIT: One other minor thing - I can play Super Mario Sunshine no problem, I force interlace and then enable progressive when game asks, it's also in widescreen automatically... I thought it didn't support that... Does SMS support widescreen officially?

I don't mean to bother, but my post kind of got lost in the controversy on the previous page. Is there any way to get a DM log file so I can see what's causing my controller issue so it can be fixed? The only game that the controls won't lock up for is Luigi's Mansion and I have no idea why.
Only via USB Gecko, there is no other way currently.
Yes there is via usb loader gx

Just tried out Skies of Arcadia (NTSC-U). using DM2.0+ on USB Loader GX and it prompted me to copy the game over to a freakin' SD card. Why? I don't know. Other games don't prompt me, but this one does.

Do you mean the box that comes up with 4 options? Does that for all of my games that are in USB. Cyan just added a quick patch to allow you to run from USB, do you still have your SD card in? The others may not bring up the menu as they are already on SD.

I would like to know if I use Dios Mios v2.0 will I still be able to play my GC Backups from disc and does the emulated memory card feature work well? If I can't play games from disc how can I remove Dios Mios? I would like to know this before trying it out.

@K3Nv2 Snow Day is pretty fun. My only bitch would be the camera controls, when you move around, say down, you have to move the right stick left or right to get camera to turn and get your view, other than that I like it so far.

From what people say pvp isn't even worth it
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I just been playing offline, and they give you a few bots here n there on your team to help battle. I don't think it's as funny as the other games tho, more battle oriented than humor, which kinda sucks, but I'm still early in it
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, doesnt the game have a campaign mode?
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea, and co-op, but you can also start a pvp session and battle just with friends. You get special skill cards (powers) the more you play. And higher value cards, but you can only enable so many cards at a time.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
If you can find enough for it
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Toilet paper is considered the money, you collect and buy stuff with TP, kinda funny. Graphics are def better than the other games tho, I think they used Unity 5 engine.

I bet most people at the time still watched it in black and white
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, Many of them did before colour television was common.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Likely because black and white TV was in-expensive.

  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
It certainly wasn't inexpensive it cost the same as a new car back then
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
How much did a 1965 color TV cost?

For example, a 21-inch (diagonal) GE color television in 1965 had an advertised price of $499, which is equal to $4,724 in today's dollars, according to the federal government's inflation calculator.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@K3Nv2, take into consideration how economy was back then
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Yeah that's why they listed inflation rates
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    Sorry didnt read that part
