I thought as cios kept getting developed that keeping the hard drive awake was a feature that was added to the cios at some point. Can't remember if it was Waninkoko or d2x though but i think it was d2x.
Ok, that makes sense. one way or another, the DM cMIOS doesn't appear to do so very well. It would definitely be a good feature to add, though.

I'm trying to find it in d2x changelog to see if it was actually a feature added.

Havent found anything yet though but ill keep looking.

Or if someone knows for sure they can provide proof.

I do know that there was a point in the WiiFlow-mod changelog where it would automatically ping the hard drive every so often while in the loader still to keep it alive and that was after d2x became the standard but I don't know if that was just extra protection or maybe it runs differently when in game.

anybody try Tony Hawk's American Wasteland with Dios Mios yet? im getting a full freeze (reset combo wont work) on the licensed by nintendo screen.

How should one go about ripping multi-disk games? I tried Tales of Symphonia on USB Loader GX. First disk ripped fine. I put the second one in to rip and it claimed it was already installed (same game ID?)

Here are some of my test results:

Wii with bootmii/boot2, hacked using Softmod Any Wii on Wiihacks, 4.1u, 320gb Transcend Hard Drive.

Using USB Loader GX r1191, Dios Mios 2.0 Revision 1

*Did not upgrade to r2 as seen reports of people having problems. All games were tested with gamecube disc in drive, no memory card inserted, did not use NMM. I first installed BC v6 to make sure I had the right one, followed by the DIOS MIOS wad. Each game was played for just a few minutes.

WORKING

Bomberman Generations - Perfect
Kirby Air Ride - Perfect
Mario Kart DD - Perfect
Mario Party 5 - Perfect
Mario Party 7 - Perfect: Did not have a mic in.
Mario Superstar Baseball - Perfect: Wiki for DML says it freezes but I couldn't get it to freeze.
Mario Golf - Perfect
Mario Party 4 - Perfect
Mario Power Tennis - Perfect
Sega Soccer Slam - Gameplay Perfect: I was particularly excited about this one as the Wiki for DML says it blackscreens. I was able to play a game with no black screen. I could not do the R+Z+Start combo to reset the console with this game.
Shadow the Hedgehog - Perfect
Soul Calibur II - Perfect
StarFox Assault - Perfect
Super Mario Sunshine - Perfect: The videos seemed to MAYBE have been a bit pixelated. Can't remember if thats how the game actually was.
Super Smash Bros Melee - Perfect
Zelda 4 Swords - Perfect

NOT WORKING

007 Nightfire: The DML wiki says a black screen after hitting start. I hit start and it went through the whole tutorial so I got excited! Then at the end when you EMP the truck it cuts to a video of Bond looking at fireworks with the girl. I hit A to skip it and it freezes, then I get the message about an error occuring and to see the gamecube manual. This game was ripped with a retail disc using USB Loader GX.

So overall, WOW THANK YOU Crediar, Fix94, and Cyan (for GX mod). DIOS MIOS is so great! I've been waiting for a long time for a good GC USB solution. This is a fantastic App and I look forward to more updates. By the way, I can launch retail discs from the disc channel. The DIOS MIOS logo pops up and the game loads. Ran Nightfire with retail disc just to make sure and it runs fine.
mind linking the revision 1? i cant find it anywhere

Yeah, same GameID, but the name of that folder really doesn't matter that much (It might matter if you're using xNEEK but I'm not sure there.) so you could always name it something different.

Having problems loading Metroid Prime 2: Echoes with both Wiiflow r506 and DM Booter; when DM loads, my 480i-only NTSC television gets stuck displaying what looks like distortion caused by feeding it PAL50 or 480P and does not switch back to NTSC 480i. Also, for the record, I have never seen the DIOS MIOS logo screen, probably because DM defaults to PAL50 or 480P before switching to 480i. All other (non audio streaming games) I've tried seem to work properly.

If anyone still had a copy it would have to be in a PM I think. Crediar has requested that no-one re-up older versions.
GoogleCode said:
Note: This .wad has NO nintendo code in it! But please do not reupload it, otherwise outdated or even bugged versions would stay online!
I thought people were having the same problems, though. What problems were people having with update 2 that they DIDN'T have with update 1 or the first one?

PM it whatever lol.. i just want to check it out because apparently it works better then revision 2

Can anyone help me? I have disc1 and disc2 of Tales of Symphonia. I put them into two different folders but when I launch both of them in USB Loader GX they read the game as disc 2?

ok leave disc 1 as the normal game id.. then the second disk change it 2 TOS004 and usb loader gx will recognize both of them

IMO, for a few reasons, the various revisions should be labeled 'DIOS MIOS 2.0.1, 2.0.2, ...' and be left on the Google Code page. One reason is because it is confusing to have a number of revisions which share the identical file name. Also, sometimes a newer revision will break games which worked with an older revision, and it is much more difficult to troubleshoot when all of the revisions share the same name.

Well, I'll just ask it because I won't be able to read a 45-paged topic now or ever.
If I install Dios Mio, will it overwrite Dios Mio Lite? I remembered that I have an USB pen drive that I can use! :D

And does the old compatibility list still apply? (like I'm asking if Wind Waker and PAL Luigi's Mansion still work fine)

@Akotan im not too sure how it applies. It seems pretty accurate though
@Akotan
and, yes, it will overwrite the DML
you can only have one of these installed at a time
Nintendo MIOS, cMIOS for DVD-R backups, DML, DM, QuadForce.

Nice! Thanks a lot!
I'll try it and report it later.

If Dios Mio doesn't work, I'll go back to tried and true Dios Mio Lite.

didnt work for usbloader gx but worked for dml booter. Also wondering why specifically do I have to call disc 2 "TOS004"?

no reason TOS=tales of symphonia and just 3 random numbers.. see apparently its the loaders issue it just doesn't recognize 2 disc games with 7 digits ive done the same with all 2 disc games resident evil, baiten kaitos it seems to work. im using usb loader gx though try clearing ur settings for usb loader gx then try again...

Ive installed Dios Mios
I converted using wbfs2fat
I copied sd;/games to usb
I launched Dios Mios Booter and selected USB
nothing

I tried using the games on USBloader GX r1191, they show up but they dont load

Help

Edit: Also if i try loading Gamecube games from the disc channel, the Wii turns off!
