Majora's Mask on the Legend of Zelda, The - Collector's Edition locks up just before you enter the town when using DM. However the game runs fine when using DML.
Thats no problem of DIOS-MIOS, its because of nintendos crappy port which also freezes quite often when using the original disc ;)
I have the disc and it never freezes...
not important though :P
some more testing yielding same results as usual, most games work, some have minor issues, and I'm now certain it's just my HDD causing the thing to error games after a while of inactivity.

I tried Wiiflow mod and the GC games show-up but when I try to load them it siad I need to copy them on a SD Card but I don't have SD Card.
That means you either dont have DIOS-MIOS installed or you dont use r506.
Installed the DM Booter channel(latest) and it can't find any games just the disc on the drive.
You should use my HBC pack from google code, thats newer than the channel.
I installed it, this Dios-Mios wad http://code.google.c.../downloads/list and this Wiiflow http://filetrip.net/wii-downloads/loaders-boot/download-wiiflow-31-r418-f27235.html . Are this the lates DIOS MIOS/Wiiflow with USB support?

Gone through some further testing of the latest version, again, same conditions - using Dios Mios Booter, FAT32 HDD, clean, untrimmed images converted with DiscEx.

Star Wars: Bounty Hunter [PAL] - Working (Not compatible with NMM, fails Memory Card checks)
Soul Calibur 2 [PAL] - Perfect
Digimon World 4 [NTSC] - Working (Not compatible with NMM, fails to boot past license screens if enabled)

I'll post some more tomorrow. This project changed two things in my everyday life - it convinced me that FAT32 > NTFS for a Wii drive AND it gave my Wii a good reason to actually stay connected to the TV. Mmm... games... So many games...

No, the hdd cant corrupt because of that ;)

It happens that with DML, forcing the region in any game, suffered a corruption of all data on the card.
Can you guarantee me that my HDD will not suffer data corruption outside the folder "games"?
And now that I remember, I'm not sure if I misread, but I have understood that in the games folder, subfolders containing the * isos can have any name on the DML. Is it the same with DM?

Didn't read the rest of the thread to figure out if this had been answered for sure.
There was a known bug with writing stuff to the log file that could corrupt the HDD/SD card. As far as I know, this was never fixed.
Technical details: The FAT driver used by DM(L) isn't re-entrant, but was being re-entered in the context of an interrupt handler.

Is there an official compat list? I tested a bunch of games, but I don't want to dupe someone else's work.

@[member='ssj4android'] I don't know about the specific bug but as long as you have NMM turned off, I don't think there's anything actually written any more. Somehow I had the impression the log file thing was removed or something.
That's the impression I have. I wouldn't know where to quote that from, though.

Yeah, you're right. The logging stuff is commented out. Never mind my previous post then.

You may delete your wiiflow.ini and delete your whole cache folder, sure it will take ages to rebuild that then but thats the only way to make sure everything is clean, then it also work again.
thanks FIX, that worked

There's this for DML but I don't know if it's supposed to be used for DM as well. I suppose another column could always be added or something.
Pretty sure that both programs share the same compatibility as only the loading source differs. So-far my results were mostly checking out with the current list.

I was playing windwaker with dm 2.0 and had some company come over so i let the game sit for about 10 minutes with no play. After resuming game play i got the " An error has occurred please turn off the gamecube console and refer to the owners manual message'

I have seen other people post saying that its happened to them as well.

Anyone else getting this after leaving games sit for awhile?

Also note after this happened i restarted the wii and then played the game again and it played fine past the point where it gave the error the first time. So i would say its safe to assume that its a hard drive spin down issue.

The hard drive works fine and i have never had this issue happen with any wii game.

Here are some of my test results:

Wii with bootmii/boot2, hacked using Softmod Any Wii on Wiihacks, 4.1u, 320gb Transcend Hard Drive.

Using USB Loader GX r1191, Dios Mios 2.0 Revision 1

*Did not upgrade to r2 as seen reports of people having problems. All games were tested with gamecube disc in drive, no memory card inserted, did not use NMM. I first installed BC v6 to make sure I had the right one, followed by the DIOS MIOS wad. Each game was played for just a few minutes.

WORKING

Bomberman Generations - Perfect
Kirby Air Ride - Perfect
Mario Kart DD - Perfect
Mario Party 5 - Perfect
Mario Party 7 - Perfect: Did not have a mic in.
Mario Superstar Baseball - Perfect: Wiki for DML says it freezes but I couldn't get it to freeze.
Mario Golf - Perfect
Mario Party 4 - Perfect
Mario Power Tennis - Perfect
Sega Soccer Slam - Gameplay Perfect: I was particularly excited about this one as the Wiki for DML says it blackscreens. I was able to play a game with no black screen. I could not do the R+Z+Start combo to reset the console with this game.
Shadow the Hedgehog - Perfect
Soul Calibur II - Perfect
StarFox Assault - Perfect
Super Mario Sunshine - Perfect: The videos seemed to MAYBE have been a bit pixelated. Can't remember if thats how the game actually was.
Super Smash Bros Melee - Perfect
Zelda 4 Swords - Perfect

NOT WORKING

007 Nightfire: The DML wiki says a black screen after hitting start. I hit start and it went through the whole tutorial so I got excited! Then at the end when you EMP the truck it cuts to a video of Bond looking at fireworks with the girl. I hit A to skip it and it freezes, then I get the message about an error occuring and to see the gamecube manual. This game was ripped with a retail disc using USB Loader GX.

So overall, WOW THANK YOU Crediar, Fix94, and Cyan (for GX mod). DIOS MIOS is so great! I've been waiting for a long time for a good GC USB solution. This is a fantastic App and I look forward to more updates. By the way, I can launch retail discs from the disc channel. The DIOS MIOS logo pops up and the game loads. Ran Nightfire with retail disc just to make sure and it runs fine.

Anyone have Midway Arcade Treasures 3 working , it loads until, the arcade screen after the license and shuts my wii off..
full iso, and it worked perfect with 1.5 dml.

As I understand, basically it's just that some hard drives have a sleep function to them that DM can't wake them up from and Wii games are more likely to be frequently reading from the disk. The next time it tries to read, the game just assumes the disk drive died or something and give you an error.

I thought as cios kept getting developed that keeping the hard drive awake was a feature that was added to the cios at some point. Can't remember if it was Waninkoko or d2x though but i think it was d2x.

My test results.
