I also have the same screenshot problem. Using composite cables, I get the same distorted image that airline38 got.

Thanks Crediar for the update :)
But it's the 64bit version. I 'm still on 32bit OS (like a lot of users I suppose).

@Zero & Crediar:
To implement it in wii games it will require a new cIOS with this feature. cIOS have more memory available, maybe it could even write the picture format directly?
It could pause the game like debuggers are doing to take screenshot and resume once done? or only debugger can pause?

Is it possible to take the SNEEK feature and use it on a real nand? Isn't the screenshot feature in DML just some code injected into memory before the game starts? Correct me if I'm wrong, but couldn't that be implemented to a cIOS very easily?

No code is injected everthing happens on the ARM.

It should be possible to port it over to cIOS.

isn't how Riivolution is working? patching the IOS before loading the game to add features, such as file redirection?
I don't know how IOS or Riivolution are working, I'm only supposing it's done in memory.

It has nothing to do with how Riivolution works, all it does is read memory.

First it figures out where the game stores the framebuffer address (VISetFramebuffer) and then waits fors the game to set it and when the user presses R+Z DM(L)/SNEEK just dumps the framebuffer.

OK. The updated program (YCbYCr2BMP) works (for win7).
Here is an updated comparison between "USB video
capture device" and "DM screenshot"(the lower one).

It seems the character from "DM screenshot" is a little clear than
the one from "USB video capture device".

I'm not sure either, but that's what I read on the googlecodes page!

I'm grateful for DM though. Hell this time last year there wasn't even a way to play GC backups on a Wii through softmodding! Progress :)

Actually last year you'd be flamed, laughed at, and banned from a community if even you ASK about the posibility of this happening, everyone would be like "hahaha dude it's impossible because of hardware limitation, moron" it's really sad when I see comments like this rather than just explaining in a civilized way... *sigh* The internet -_-'

Hey Crediar, I didn't even know you had an account here at GBATemp, I wanna thank you personally for doing all these things for us, you're a legend :)

Also I wanna ask you, are there any plans to fix Kao The Kangaroo Round 2? Or maybe make a patch to get Sonic Gems Collection and Spider-Man The Movie to work without a disk?

Nice work, I could be the only one but I like the DM version more, anyway I got some good news, well good for me and potentially bad for you, yesterday I went ahead and bought a 500GB WD HDD for my Wii, I needed one for my computer anyway so I figured if it works for Wii I can switch those and fix the sleep issue once and for all, and so I did, I disabled sleep and now the hard drive never goes to sleep, not in DM, not in Wii Explorer, not even go idle, and it's much faster for loading games too, I couldn't be happier!

The bad part is I won't be able to report sleep issues anymore in case you were planning for doing any fixing in the future, although the last one you sent me worked for my LG, though it still goes idle, crashes when existing a game in Sonic Mega Collection, and during the music-less cutscenes in Sonic Adventure 2 it delays the VA lines because of going idle, but every other game I tested worked just fine and I put it on the hardest tests, Crazy Taxi, Super Monkey Ball, Looney Tunes Back In Action, Crash Bandicoot The Wrath Of Cortex, all long gameplay, tried pausing games for a long time, and it always worked, anyway I wanted to thank you in particular for being patient with me and for the great work ^_^

Going back to playing Mega-Man Command Mission, I tried to make a clean 1:1 rip, using the new hard drive (WD with sleep off) the game still crashes a lot, it's so weird I still can't seem to figure out hwn or how it'll crash, it just happens, anyone got the game can confirm this issue?
