Quick question on the DML installer 1.1:
It says i need a previously installed cMIOS. i have the cMIOS that allows the booting of backup GC games, so does that count?
If it's based on MIOSv10, yes It count.

Requirements:
- IOS236 installed
- The DML.elf in the folder DML on sd card
- 0000000c.app from a clean MIOSv10 in the folder DML on sd card(easily obtainable with NUS Downloader, decrypt option required)
- MIOSv10, or a cMIOS based on MIOSv10, or DML(r12+) installed on the Wii's nand

Thanks!

Also, another quick question. I got DML working, tried out a game so I KNOW it works, but one itsy-bitsy problem. I wanted to play tales of Symphnia, but when I went through the games on my Sd card using neogamma, it only showed "Tales of Symphnia 1". I have the 2nd disc on there, so shouldn't it pop up? I assumed it was because DiscEX added a 2 to the game ID, making it one character over a regular GC id, but if i change the id, wouldn't it not show up anyway?

Yes, is due by the added caracter, NeoGamma only recognizes the folders with 6 characters ("ID" (in fact no matter how it's named, only it need have 6 characters), but DML doesn't handle dual disc games.
I've read someone play the second disc of Tales of Symphonia through DML:

I've tried to inject a savegame Into the memory card, I've downloaded it from Gamefaqs to get it in the Beginning of second disc of Tales of Symphonia, and it worked.
Also It was a savegame from another region and the game has recognized it by changing the ID of savegame (NTSC to PAL) with a hex editor.
I used GCMM for move the savegame from the SD card to a memory card. I don't know if it would serve also for extract the savegame from the memory card and make the change of disc in Dolphin, but i guess so. I have to try it later when i have some time.

the thing is, you CAN play 2disc games. but you have to have a pre-existing save for disc 2... :( in other words, if you start a new game with disc1, when u get to disc 2 you cant continue on to disc2. it will just give you an error. but if you have a pre-exisiting save somewhere for disc2, you can start disc2 with DML and load that save and it will work. Ive tried it with a few games so i know it works. from what ive read, the reason swapping to disc 2 doesnt work is because on a real gamecube you would open the lid and swap in disc 2, but DML doesnt have a way to swap the ISO on the fly yet. maybe one day... SIDENOTE: only wiiflow has recognized disc2 of the games ive tried so far. not sure why, eh

NeoGamma doesn't recognise the second disc due to the title being 7 Characters instead of 6, Postloader does recognise the 2nd disc for its loading options but always loads the first one (Probably a bug), WiiFlow behaves correctly.

Using DML via Sneek shows both discs in multidisc games. Of course swap isn't working by now but who knows maybe in future releases this will be fixed. Meanwhile I'm using my WiiSD and Swiss to load those 2 disc games, save right after disc2 let me save a file and then continue with disc2 again with DML.

There hasn't been an update for quite some time now, is it still being worked on? :(

I'd really like to see two disc support for Baten Kaitos

So is a WiiSD or SD Gecko completely necessary in order to run SWISS? Nevermind stupid question.. Wiikey SD(WiiSD) is an SD Gecko from what I understand.

I've got a problem with Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2 (both usa and eur release)
after rev.40 i can't start any race - got a black screen with (smth. like this) "read an instruction manual and shut off a console"
with rev.25 or above it worked with issues (speed, freeze, etc.)
Other games (e.g. WarioWorld, MarioKart, Kirby AirRide, F-Zero) works fine.

So is a WiiSD or SD Gecko completely necessary in order to run SWISS? I'd like to try your method and then continue using DML in order to play 2 disc game.
Nevermind found a great tutorial on Swiss and SD Gecko's.. here but ultimately this is still for DML purposes that I'm going to dive into this endeavor. I was wondering if I can backup my GC game saves with an SD Gecko. I think I already read somewhere that it's not possible, but I want to be absolutely certain.

Reason being I have an official Ninty 256 memory card and I have been unable to backup my saves with any homebrew out there, not GCMMr12(mod) with the supposed official MC fix; or NuGasa. Do I have any other homebrew options? Is there any hope for my memory card saves? Is there a hero out there willing to answer this call!!?

Yes you can backup your gamecube gamesaves using Swiss, it has a savegame manager (better than NuGasa, Sd2GC and GCMM) that works with official Nintendo memory cards. Just try the last revision http://code.google.c.../downloads/list it's interface is self explanatory just navigate to your memory card select your savegame, copy and paste on your SD inserted in your SD gecko WiiSD Wiikey whatever you have and that's all. Some savegames like F-zero GX are protected and it seems doesnt work if you format your memory card and then copy the savefile.

Edit: I know this is DML topic but I'm just helping.. Hopefully NMM someday works the way it should be on DML.

Thank you hero! It's SD gecko purchasing time.

There hasn't been an update for quite some time now, is it still being worked on? :(
That's a good question.. and a damn shame it needed to be asked. I'm left to assume that nobody has donated. If this happens to be the case and it continues, I wouldn't expect many updates.

I hope that is not the case, if all open source projects are gonna work that way, the wii homebrew scene would probably die very quick...

There's an easy way to check how much have been donated. One possibility is to use a ChipIn Widget: http://www.chipin.com/
Yes it works with PayPal.

Sadly we don't live in star trek times (no money). So people need to make money to survive.

I guess when you are so skilled you will probably ask yourself sometime why should I work for free all the time and not put my time into something that returns money.

It is also seems very odd that everyone seems to expect credair to work for free and think that it is almost insane to request money for work.

The world would certianly be better off without money

When I access crediar's site crediar.no-ip.com my anti virus says the site is infected with a trojan. Just thought I could mention it here :creep:

This problem has been discussed b4, dont worry its no Trojan, its just your antivirus being oversensitive ;)

Edit:
well, as already been said, ppl need money to live, some homebrew devs just dont have a job(not yet) and therefor need donations to make a living.

I have donated to several projects and I think donating is the only way to show your support besides saying thank you. Nice words are always welcome but one could buy no food, pay bills and stuff like that just with words.

I also think that donating to DML will drive the development progress on and I have also to add that I received all the money from Crediar I paid in first place for DML.

So come on and throw some money at Crediar and other ppl involved, it will help.

Donation links are on googlecode page and on first post here.

Thanks for reading guys.
