When I access crediar's site crediar.no-ip.com my anti virus says the site is infected with a trojan. Just thought I could mention it here

This problem has been discussed b4, dont worry its no Trojan, its just your antivirus being oversensitive

What is it then? crediar's site was always just plain text with "Please insert coin". There must be a reason why an anti virus software detects a trojan now.

well, as already been said, ppl need money to live, some homebrew devs just dont have a job(not yet) and therefor need donations to make a living.

I have donated to several projects and I think donating is the only way to show your support besides saying thank you. Nice words are always welcome but one could buy no food, pay bills and stuff like that just with words..

I am not opposed to donating, in fact, i have donated money myself to a few projects in the past..

I am just saying it as it is, this is just normal behaviour, it's like a sport, only a few people get enough money to practise it fulltime, most people don't, and even have to pay extra to particapate.

I also think that donating to DML will drive the development progress on and I have also to add that I received all the money from Crediar I paid in first place for DML.

Not sure if I got this correct, are you saying crediar gave you the money you paid him back or are you saying that you got your money back via donations?
Also I noticed the PayPal email address from the first post is crediar's address, right?

I meant that I got all my money back which I invested in buying DML from Crediar last year through donations.

What's a good amount to donate? I don't have much but I'd love to donate for the hardwork involved in all this. It's certainly left me satisfied.

also, how do i use DML Speedtest. Do I make it a wad the same way i make all the other DML wads? And when I install the wad, what happens ??

You install the wad and launch any gamecube game installed in your SD card.
The screen will go black for about 15 seconds and then the Wii will shut off.
You'll find your results in the root of the SD card in a file called dm.log.

I don't think this would ever attract enough skilled coders since you can just buy the few audio streaming games that are worth to play.

Yes but I wasn't thinking from a practical point of view. I'm guessing there might be people that would do this just out of personal interest, for the thrill of making it work. However, like you said, it may well be that nobody ever tackles it, because it is a lot of work with minimal returns.

Ikaruga is one of those games and it's still kinda expensive.

I imagine it only happens once and if you want to speed test again you have to reinstall the wad.
I mean, it doesn't just keep giving you a black screen every time you try and load a GC, does it?

The test version is only good for doing the speed tests. You can do as many as you want, but you have to re-install the regular DML, in order to play games again.

I don't want to open a thread about this, but crediar created a new project on google code last september, which is "sd2edit". I have the feeling that this is DML related.
Oh, and he created diosmioslite on Feb 5, 2012
