Hey everyone been gone a while. DML improvements look amazing, I never had the black screen issue, and I have boot2v4.. about to compile r36 with fix94's tools.

To Crediar, his team, and everyone else that 's worked so hard to get this going for all of us, thanks very much, I'm sure it's taken a blood sweat and tears to get this far lol. I look forward to whatever you have in store in the future for DML. I'm going to try out a couple of games on my real NAND and on Sneek+DI and post some results and feedback.

Is SNEEK+DI the recommended way to load DMLr36? I don't think there's been any official word on this but just wanted to throw it out there in case SanGor or Wiipower might know. Since this is what Crediar uses I think it's probably the preferred method for those of us that are lucky enough to have bootmii as boot2 :D and for those of us that don't, patience is of virtue. Crediar and his team are pretty brilliant and I'm sure in time there will be more progress and word on the best setup and installation.

Finally I've been out the loop for a couple of days but unless I'm blind I don't see where I can donate on the first post  Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

I want to donate too and would like a recommendation from godlike and sangor in terms of whom the donation should be directed to.
I know there is a donation link in the "what the fuss is all about post", but godlike was taking donations to get back what he paid for the source code.

Oh well then that's fine, I'm sure donating in that thread is fine as well. Thanks.

well g0dlike bought DML from crediar, released it open source after a while and maintained it.
Because of crediar he basically got all the money back he paid for DML. (he settled with 350EUR instead of 400EUR)

crediar created DML and still is the only person who does the major code changes and bug fixes, wasn't that all already explained in that post?

It is up to you.

Yes it was. I asked in case you had some sort of arrangement. I'll be donating in that thread.

Done. I guess it will be showing up as an anonymous donation, since I forgot to fill the message field :ninja:

OT DML r36 runs perfect for me. The only issues I've had seem to be game specific. Such as Kirby Air Ride freezing whenever I finish a game of City Trial, right before it starts the aftergame.

Tested r37 and gave me this results:

15MB (32KB reads) Speed:163kB/s
15MB (64KB reads) Speed:2560kB/s
15MB (32KB random reads) Speed:1280kB/s
15MB (64KB random reads) Speed:1536kB/s

microSD sandisk class2 16gb FAT32 64kb sd adapter

hmm... better than my Kingston 8G micro SD class 4, Fat32 64K!

15MB (32KB reads) Speed:111kB/s
15MB (64KB reads) Speed:1536kB/s
15MB (32KB random reads) Speed:1097kB/s
15MB (64KB random reads) Speed:1536kB/s

OT
just done the following when I was bored:

postloader+DML
no disk inserted : wii shuts down
blank CDR / DVD-R : games start normally

Neogamma+DML
no disk inserted : error - no disk
blank CDR / DVD-R : error - bad disk

well these doesn't really matter to me as long as we still need something inserted for DML to work.
And nothing matters if DML worked with a bad drive but I can't test on this aspect

Edit
I always though my SD card is a kingston one as the adapter is from kingston
closer examine shows it is a SanDisk ! a clone or what??

I think it has something to do with initializing the drive.

Let's not forget that the Class specifier of an sd card is related to the write speed, and not the read speed.
If you use it as game media for dml, almost all actions are reads from the card, not writes to it. That's why a Class 10 isn't working much better than a Class 4.
Random reads being slower than sequential reads doesn't make much sense either, unless their is some caching done, or random reads require a time consuming adress selection that isn't optimised properly.
(Harddisc's need to move their read heads to the correct location on the platters, so it makes sense for those to have much slower random reads than sequential reads. A modern harddisc also already caches data in the disc electronics itself. With random reads, this cache can't do it's work as it can't predict what you will read next.)

True, but a class 4 is slower than a class2 same brand (2560 vs 1536) ? Fishy

That was the point of my writing.. That an expensive high speed class card isn't always the better choice.
It gives the developpers some material to brainstorm about.
