@all with the blackscreen issue:
http://www.mediafire...ghv422e80brzc0f
This got the line wiipower mentioned uncommented, just compiled it for you guys to test.
Thanks man, will test this out :P

Edit:
It may be farfetched but can the "black screen" issue might be due to drive date?
I'am just thinking a little out of the box here. Because when I read the sysCheck logs that has been posted lately it Seems that the wii's with most recent drive dates has no "black screen" issue and vice versa.

I have the "black screen" issue and my drive date is 2007.02.13
my sysCheck log
Code:
sysCheck v2.1.0b17 by Double_A and R2-D2199
...runs on IOS58 (rev 6176).
Region: PAL
System Menu 4.3E (v514)
Priiloader installed
Drive date: 2007.02.13
Homebrew Channel 1.0.8 running on IOS58
Hollywood v0x11
Console ID: xxxxxxxx
Boot2 v4
....no need for the rest of the log.

I tried r34 with uncommented line, now I get "An error has occurred. Turn the power off and refer to the Nintendo GameCube Instructions Booklet for more information."

Also, gamecube retail discs work fine

Thanks FIX94

but same Black Screen Of Death for my part...since R22+ :(
R21 : works nice (except it lags every 5 seconds)
R22 > R32 : BSOD
R33 : not tested
R34 : BSOD
R34 changed : DRE at boot with all games (I can hear the drive. It stops some seconds after the boot, try to read the disc again, then DRE)

-tried with Posloader, Neogamma and wiiflow (and wiiflow-mod), latest SVN version.
-with 3 different SD card (from three different manufacturers) : 2Go, 8Go SDHC class 6, 8Go SDHC class 10 with 64K, 32K and 8K cluster size...
-with trimmed and full ISO
-using a componant cable, a wii2HDMI converter and with the original scart cable.

Phew...I finally manage to get something beside a black screen. Not much, but at least it's a start. :D

All right...first things first. Since a few things were asked that I can hardly remember (it's been a while since I used my real nand), it's best to post a syscheck:

(yeah, I know...the date is incorrect...I've messed with rawkSD 3 a bit).

Second: I used the files provided by Fix in this post.

Created the wads, put them on my SD drive.

Regular one: same blackscreen as before (on postloader: directly...on neogamma, it displays a bit of green screen before blackscreening)

...but the "changed" version actually showed me a second of game before disc erroring (this is the version with the line uncommented that wiipower mentioned in this post).

Now...this disc read error is expected (check Wiipower's post). But at least it does something. :P

EDIT: ...and that it shows up on more than a few people who got nothing but blackscreens before is also interesting. :)

Does seem like it could be the boot2 version interfering, but I'm not giving up my bootmii for DIOS MIOS. atleast not until the Wii U is out and hacked anyway...
Giving up bootmii?! You do know bootmii can be installed on boot2v4? It's the new boot1 on newer wii's that prevents bootmii as boot2.

forgive my retardedness :P

There is something I forgot to mention earlier. When playing from a disc on a Wii with bootmii as boot2, pressing POWER resets the Wii instead of turning it off. If you remove the SD card (or uninstall bootmii) then it powers off normally. Is there a chance that the blackscreen issue is related to having bootmii as boot2 installed?

1) I thought uninstalling it was a given.
2) Sorry I wasn't clear. By "this" I meant the blackscreen issue.

Now this is interesting...

Could it be that the whole blackscreen issue is purely with people (like me) who have a boot2 version lower than version 4?

EDIT: sorry...nevermind. Iceicebird already proves this wrong at the top of this page (boot2v4 + blackscreen).

maybe you can give it a try...it takes a few seconds, and can fix the BSOD ;)

for my part it worked great, and I'm happy with that.
