Have 3.4E, boot2v3 (with bootmii), black screen issues, and YUV (or whatever you call it) cables.
GC disc: Green then Black screen
Wii disc: No video signal.

Tried with r34. (every r21+ doesn't work)

PAL Wii from 2008, using real NAND.

Just to get it out there, I'm having great compatibility with r26 still. All subsequent versions after that still resulted in games booting, but they tend to freeze. Sometimes it's a black screen after the splash screens are shown, and sometimes it's just a freeze a few seconds into gameplay.

Still can't get NMM to work either. Keeps saying a bunch of card functions aren't found along with unknown commands. Not sure if I done something wrong when compiling or if it's a problem with the code.

I'm using a PAL Black Wii, real nand, 4.2E.

Ok, it looks like it's the boot2 version afterall. Somebody with boot2v2 or 3 and system menu 4.3 around?

people have who have or not have the black screen issue.

I got system menu 3.2E, boot2v2(or maybe 3) and i got the black screen issue.

If somebody updated to 4.2 or 4.3 via online update, or if the wii came with 4.2 or 4.3, then the Wii has boot2v4, if not it's boot2v2 or 3.

Boot2v3(with BootMii), SM4.3E(Custom Theme)

Update: I updated Boot2v3 -> Boot2v4 and changed my SM4.3E back to orginal. Still black screen issue (r30).

I have boot2v2 and 4.3E. To update boot2 I have to download the wad with NUSD and just install it with wad manager?

my first wii 4,1e boot2v2 - r21 is ok, r21+ is black screen
my second wii 4.3e boot2v4 - no black screen at all

I updated Boot2v3 -> Boot2v4 and changed my SM4.3E back to orginal from a themed one. Still black screen issue (r30 and PostLoader 3.60.3).

Hmm, that's really odd, from the 10 reports it really looked like this is the relevant difference. Can you boot a retail GC game from the disc channel and try again? If that doesn't change it, i'm clueless.

Darn now I have to go get some of my moving boxes to find a retail gc game (a lot of boxes). Maybe someone else can try it otherwise I will try it later The boxes is in a storage place. Never mind found one with the rest of the Wii games.

Tested with r30 and retail Mario Kart from Disc Channel, doesn't work, same black screen issue. :blink:
Also tested with r21 (know it worked before but just to be sure) and this works with disc channel)

Does seem like it could be the boot2 version interfering, but I'm not giving up my bootmii for DIOS MIOS. atleast not until the Wii U is out and hacked anyway...

Giving up bootmii?! You do know bootmii can be installed on boot2v4? It's the new boot1 on newer wii's that prevents bootmii as boot2.
