for me its because right now this game is a race to see how much you can do in a few hours before you have to start all over.

Do cwcheats not work with the translated version?

i was trying to change my slot one into an item called chain mellon to increase the life of my digimon but it just changed into an empy space.

yeah that worked thanks (Are these not good for them? I have to use bandages on him afterwards)

btw do you know where to fight wargreymon at? I want to evolve my metalgreymon into him

do you not realize that it's not starting over? every new digimon you use you get more perks.
the digimon you recruit stay. the items you gather stay. a fraction of your previous digimons power goes to the new digimon.
if your digimon didnt have a lifespan you'd get bored after he gets to the last evolution.

Maaaaaan... It's exactly the same thing with most Monster Rancher games.

People just don't understand (or don't want to) and cheat/quit. *facepalm*

Top that: pretty sure most speedrunners beat the game (the original Digimon World) in roughly 1 hour by the 2nd digimon cycle.

DW2 isn't so fortunate and DW3 by personal experience is literally playing it on RNG to get Counter Crest early into fighting -everything- you encounter on way to the final boss without ever really running away to leech every single XP you need for beating Galactimon...

I didn't say i wanted to use the same one for the rest of all eternity, i just don't want to feel like i'm racing a damn clock all the time. Its freaking annoying and sucks the fun out of it.

Not really, I finish the game in day 22 with my first digimon that evolve to WarGreymonX with no cheat. But if you really want to play without feeling like racing with the clock, you can use this code:

wait, how did that work?

wargreymonx shouldn't survive longer than 18 days. and I'm not sure how much time you'd really have to finish story related tasks while having, for the longest time, only intermediate training without training manual to get your digimon up to speed.
