Hacking Did I Mess Up?!

I ordered an r4i gold 3ds from here: http://www.realhotstuff.hk/r4i-gold...tendo-3ds-ds-lite-dsi-xl-ll-www-r4ids-cn.html I'm wondering if this actually works with my new 3ds xl. It's running v10.0.0-27U currently, but the 10.1.0 update is available. Will this card work with my system, or did I mess up?

Yes, it will work. AFAIK, Nintendo hasn't ban any DS flashcards since 4.5, so any card that is not older than 3 years will work.

i think the last NDS card ban was actually in 7.1 but that only temporarily blocked the DStwo, 6.x was the last group ban of NDS flashcards

Isn't there now a method to make any card that was ever compatible work again even if it had been blocked? I didn't look into it too hard because my only 3DS compatible card was DSTWO and thus still working anyway.

Yes, but only on a 4.1-9.2 O3DS.

I'm getting some conflicting answers. So, I looked around a bit and noticed this: (newest entry in news section) http://www.r4ids.cn/news.htm . This says it should be compatible with the newest firmware. Is this correct? Or can anybody verify this?

I'm pretty sure he was talking about the method to make blocked flashcarts work again.
