downlaod noflash me and it will unflash your ds resluting in back to normail firmware with means un bricked!!!

if you can boot your flash cart you still have all hope or most likely a 99% hope it will work

Hahahaha you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about!

Noflashme restores the firmware to the original, but it doesn't unbrick a bricked DS. If you're trying to reinstall firmware, you might as well go with flashme.

That's what happen to me last night..
I wanted to replace my old ds's touch screen.. and it seems that I killed it.

But somehow, I really don't feel bad...

Well, I tried to flash my DS (without it being plugged in). I tried to do the flashing trick with a paper clip, but it shut off almost immediately. Now it won't even turn on, or charge. I think I might need a new battery, but is there a way to see if I need one or is there some way around calling up Nintendo to get a new one? I really hope, if anything, it's only the battery and not the whole DS.

If the DS is power light is red maybe. If it's green and it turns red it's unlikely for the DS to drain until shutdown during the process unless you have a really bad battery, cause a red light can keep the DS going for another 15 minutes in a demanding game. But if the battery was green, does it really matter? Seriously have any of you tried to take out the battery while the DS is charging? IT SHUTS OFF. Hooked up to a powersource or not the DS still relies on the battery or it won't power on. With your DS upside down the battery exposed and having to hold a toothpick firmly in a position and risking brickage if just one of those things goes wrong, the last thing you want is having to be careful about a power cord sticking out of it aswell, so I suggest you don't further complicate yourself just do it with a green battery.

It's still recommended that you plug the DS in while flashing. It's been said so many times that I have to think that it's for a better reason than just "so it doesn't run out of battery"

Maybe the fact that it's plugged in makes it less likely to shut off unintentionally or something.

You do not remember correctly.

There is actually no good reason for charging your DS while flashing. If anything, It increases the chance of a blown fuse.

dunnno on a fat, i dont have one to test it on... but as a cautionary note:

Make sure it is discharged a little before trying
plug it in and then remove the battery cover
pull the battery... it'll either stay on or shut off
if it stays on, i wouldnt run it for a long time like this, kida stressfull on the charger i would think
turn it off and unplug it before putting the battery back in

Because the "huge" risk is almost zero if the user bothers to take precautions and doesn't blindly poke screwdrivers into their DS systems. FlashMe also lets slot-2 device users boot into DS mode without needing a NoPass, which is a huge convenience.

yup. i just flashed mine. and all went well. took like 5min altogether. i hated that screen. and im glad its gone. i got the flashme with no auto boot. works great. To bad i didnt see this program a year ago. (i heard of it just never read into it)

You spend time for research on how to do it, download flashme, then find a screwdriver and flash...
let us just say that you spend 10 minutes (and you most definitely spend more) to remove 2 seconds of health screen.

So, it's like some risk and fear, then 600 seconds of work, divide it by 2 seconds of health screen = 300. It means that you start to save time after 300 boots of your Nintendo, and you save 10 minutes after 600 boots; really nice... NOT!
