I already made a stupid misstake i bought two 3rd Wii U Pro controlers who do not work in emulators.

Now i planed to buy some 3rd Wii Classic controlers from eBay (looks same like original only without "Wii" logo). My question did this 3rd controlers will work with Emulators like Mednafen, WiiUAE and Snes or i need to buy original controler?

I read some old post and it should work, but this time is better ask before buy anything :-)

As far as I know only Nintendont supports the Wii U Pro Controller. It should only take recompiling the emulators with the latest devkitPPC to get them to work, though.

Thank you for answer. I read that many emulators support Wii U Pro controlers but only official from Nintendo, not 3rd party controlers, and there i make mistake i buy some from BigBen not original. But nevermind i am ready to buy new two unofficial Wii Classic controlers, but i just need that someone confirm that they work in emulators, i wont make same misatke again :-)

The generally support the Wii Classic Controller Pro, I'm not so sure about the Wii U controller.

you never saw my signature did you? :P
I did compile some emus to have wiiu pro controller support and some like genesis plus gx come natively with it.
3rd party controllers dont follow standard protocol behaviour most of the time and just badly emulate it, thus breaking most homebrew implementations as they never really follow the sdk 1 to 1 as you have to for those badly emulated controllers to work.

If i understand good then i can use any 3rd party Wii Classic controler i do not need buy original right? Only 3rd party Wii U Pro controles make problems beacuse of bluetooth protocol, and other Classic controler follow protocol of Wii remonte to which they are connected and there is no problem?

I sigs turned off because they make reading on a tablet a pain. :) It's good that there are recompiled versions out there at least, though.

I use Nintendo Controller Pro to play with the emulators on Nintendo Wii,i do not remember them all but I often play with Nintendont, Snes and Megadrive without problems.

Fix94, have the gx emulators been updated to the latest version or is the wiiupro compatability only with the emulators in your signature?

I'd like to have the latest version of the gx emulators so that I can use/see cover images, but I'd like to also use the wiiupro wireless controller.

Can you help, or advise how to update the emulators to still maintain the wiiupro compatability?

Thanks in advance.
