A few years ago, I purchased four 3rd Party Classic Pro controller for my Wii. I had been using two of them since then, and the others were still in their packaging.
Recently, the two controllers stopped being recognised by the Wii. At first, I suspected the Wii Mote. Replacing it did not improve the situation. When I connected the unused controllers, they were not recognised either.
I then purchased new controllers, which work without any problems with the Wii Mote. The question is, for how long?
Then I had a déjà vu when I was reminded of flash cards with time bombs. Could it be that a time stamp is also transmitted in the communication protocol between wii and controllers? I would rule out a defective component, as, as mentioned, two controllers were never used.
Attached are pictures of the inside of a controller. I would be grateful for any relevant information that could help explain this phenomenon, as well as for similar experiences.
What else could the four controllers be used for, apart from as a source of spare parts for the non-electrical components?
BTW I useed Visual Controller Test for testing.
