I really like Detective/point and click/adventure/mystery games and the DS did a decent job in satisfying that genre hunger for me. Now I'm looking to see what the Wii has to offer and I'm hoping for good things particularly as the Wii control scheme is perfect for this genre.

I know of the following on the Wii
  • Broken Sword
  • Another Code R
  • Secret Files and Secret Files 2
  • Zack and Wiki
  • Monkey Island
  • Scummvm homebrew

Ideally I would prefer a game where a mystery needs to be solved, as I find those games create greater immersion. So for the sake of reference, Hotel Dusk or 999 were decent examples of this.

Thanks in advance lads.

Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People is the only one I can remember right now.
It's pretty good I finished episode 1 and liked it, although I could never make episode 2 work.

lol I never expected the almighty "Emigre the hardcore" to like point n click games

if you liked Monkey Island... you could try that new game called Captain Morgane and the golden something...
I dont know if it's good. I didnt have the time to play it

since you are into the detective style.... try Gabriel Knight. It's a old PC game, really good.... and hard as hell!

There are the CSI games and Sam and Max collections if you can stand putting up with the poor performance of Telltale's wii engine.
