The question for me is: Where are Ouendan and Sonic? Did they sell that bad in Japan? What do you think?

I can't believe Ouendan is not there; don't tell me a Japanese game appealed more to foreign audiences than it did in Japan?! It is definitely one of the top 3 imports... wtf

If you ask me it's even one of the top 3 DS games. And there's no MPH either, but we all know the Japanese are not much into Metroid.
Animal Crossing's and NSMB's sales on the other hand are impressive (hint on NSMB2

), where FFIII could be better...

FF3 the japanese probably didnt care much about because they've played it already.. The rest of us however, will buy it up as we have never played it.

not really... I've played the original famicom FF3 (jap) more than 12 years ago, and played it again few years back (translated ROM version).

Even thou I've played it a few times, I'll still buy the NDS version once it's out

Ouendan not in it..... but wouldn't it be funny if Elite Beat Agents sold more in Japan via imports? Just like Wapanese, there's bound to be some Jamericans?

According to wikipedia, ouendan sold some 60k copies in Japan. Checking out the elite beat agents thread might give you a good idea why, heh.

What I find surprising is that daigasso sold better, meteos not making it to the top 100... and that advance wars and castlevania: dos weren't even released in japan yet.
