Gaming DBA: Legend of Goku not saving?

I am using a Supercard Lite and this game will not save at all. I added the ipx patch or whatever it is to get past the "not correct hardware", and I can start the game and play, but it will not save.

Any ideas on how to make it save?

In GBA on SuperCard after saving in the game you have to press L+R+Select+A and select "SAVE" option to save the changes in the .sav file to SD.

It doesn't even give me the option to save when i hit L+R+Select+A
