Hacking Dazed and confused (need a little help)

OK i've been reading here there and quite a few places really to find out exactly what i need to download and install to a wii for this soft mod. (with a few conflicts so i'm sorry but i have to ask) (or maybe i just missed the relavent post) i've had very few problems getting stuff to work (I Have wiikey installed in mine and update 3.4e) till recently when NFS:U came out and that was the first i'd heard about IOS's and the like .

So could someone let me know exactly what i need etc or point me to the thread`s i need to read please?
