Hacking Datel Powersaves now supports Pokemon X/Y

I have my powersave device and im on the latest version of 3ds, as well as x and y. I can confirm it worked on my x y by giving me max money, modded my items to 999 and have my 999 rare candies. pretty epic

Could you make a video or some pictures of it working with the latest version of everything? I'm considering buying this, but might as well wait if it doesn't work. Would be fun to screw around with pokemon X, while keeping Y 'legit'.

another possible reason it might not be working is you have to email datel and get a USA registration code by sending a screenshot of your EU code. if you have an EU code it may not work, also may have forgot if you had a us code already but yea 0.o

Hey, those with windows 8/8.1 can try something. PC Settings -> General -> Advanced startup -> Troubleshoot -> Advanced options -> Startup Settings -> Disable Driver Signature Enforcement

I think that's all menus you have to go thru, the important part is the final one. Disabling that security check, allows you to install some drivers that windows 8 have problems, like arduino and other things, I don't have a PowerSave but maybe this could help ALSO for the R4 dongle someone mentioned.

its not working for me. Are you on windows 8 or an older version? Windows 8 seems shaky when it comes to these things for me. (The R4i dongle won't even be detected)

I can get other games to work just fine but not pokemon x.

X did not work for me either. I picked up a copy of Y and that DOES work.

Ok i been screwing around with Datel Power save all weekend ,
First thing that everyone has been asking is does Datel Power save work on US Pokemon x and Y, (Yes)
only thing is there's on catch, For Power save to work you have to have an original save created on Firmware 6x - 7X keys not supported Yet,

2nd as for Pokemon X and Y Saves created on emunand 7x its a No go, as for Emunand 6x it could be possible but you will have to get your emunand down to 6x and try to overwrite save keys from 7x to 6x unless your already on 6x firmware.


(Cartridge game saves created on OFW 6x Do work with datel power save.

So, if my save was created on 6.x Firmware, then saved past 7.x firmware. Would it work?

what ever firmware the save file is saved on it has that firmware encryption key, if you update to firmware 7x and save it overwrites that key with 7x which isnt compatible yet with Powersave.


Example you start on firmware 6x and save the game save is written with 6x encryption keys, then if you update to firmware 7x and play game and save 6x encryption is over written by 7x keys (not compatible yet)
