I have cisco wireless router with linksys and i was wondering. What type of CFW if there for routers? And what does it do?

Depending on your router there is Openwrt, DDwrt, Tomato, Tomato MLPP
the different cfws usally make the router better able to handle more connections from things like torrents, and will provide more features in general than a Stock firmware much as u would expect. I believe there is even a DLNA Firmware to let yer router be a dlna server for the routers with a USB port on them
