By the way, one thing missing in the tutorial... user should have the original ik snapshot in the custom frodo folder otherwise the program will complain about that and will not work.

that's true...

btw, i was extracting the world games wad and i noticed serveral worldgames files in the 5.app any ideas on what those are and how to open those? i have the feeling they are all shortcuts to a point on a d64 file or maybe to a certain snapshot...

C64 VC Emu probably uses frodo's file system emulation... in the original Frodo distribution there is a folder called 64prgs and you can access this folder using normal c64 disc commands, you can load and run programs from there. Most probably the same thing used in the vc emulation. I don't know if it's possible to add files to an u8 archive with current programs.. if it's possible then with a little tweaking in the custom frodo, save states for those multi file games can also be created..

I've (and others) already tested that under the vc emu d64 access doesn't work or maybe it's configured in the snapshot.. actually it's easy to hack modifying the international karate forcing it into the c64 basic screen and see if d64 access works from there...

too bad, my savemii not arrived yet

I never played the game and only saw it in the gundalf's video yet I enjoyed it's soundtrack a lot (maybe more than 100 times)
A nice Rob Hubbard masterpiece!

too bad i'm not that smart for hacking

but i think it might be doable to do like you said, and just tweak the snapshot... but i'm going to watch a movie...

Or does all C64 games use only one action/fire button?

And support Wii's C64 Emulator USB Keyboards like the Japanese MSX Emu?

By the way, for those c64 enthusiasts with unbricked wiis, there is another way of hacking the c64 vc emu...

New Gecko os with rebooter supports copying vc game's saves back and forth... one can easily take the ik snapshot out of his wii and replace it with a patched snapshot from the custom frodo... I guess you need to decrypt and encrypt the thing with your nand aes key while doing so... I'm not sure

Well c64 joysticks had only one button at the time like it's rivals...
Games that needs more control use keyboard and I don't think it's supported in the vc emu... but if any game requires they may add with new releases.

hmmm sounds interesting, but then again, there would be no banners
tongue.gif
but it is more save then custom wads...

but how can you obtain the aes key?

using the xyzzy homebrew of bushing, you can extract the common keys and machine specific keys out of your wii. (here : http://hackmii.com/2008/07/xyzzy/)
for encryption and decryption one need the segher's tools...

Yet I haven't tried this method, I don't know if it's correct or viable... but it's worth trying out...

WiiCrazy, if you neeed an beta tester for that multi game stuff, i am your man

@FGOD
I am not on bitgamer (the first time i hear from that site), so it cant be mine.
But you could look in the header of the 00.app and tell me what author it is.

They have send some units to some online shops.
Maybe yours is one of that

I asked people around, they say it could take even 3 weeks... I hope it does reach here safely
