Does anyone else have any experience with the CUBEODE optical drive replacement mod for Nintendo GameCube?

It's essentially a clone of the (much) more expensive GCLoader, from what I understand. I bought one, installed it, formatted a 32GB SanDisk Extreme SD Card to FAT32, placed the Swiss boot.iso onto the card along with a few games, and attempted to boot it up.

For the first few times I tried it, it would intermittently work and then not work. I managed to load a game up at one point, but then the next time I tried it wouldn't even boot into Swiss.

I now consistently get the following error message on the screen:

"An error has occurred. Turn the power OFF and check the NINTENDO GAMECUBE instruction booklet for further instructions."

Things I've tried:

1) Using different Swiss boot.iso files - all produce the same issue
2) Using different game .iso files - when the card is working, the games work
3) Using different SD cards (Micro, full-size, different sizes) - all produce the same issue
4) Formatting the SD cards to exFat instead of FAT32 - again, same issue

All this points to the problem being with the card itself. The CUBEODE apparently did have some compatibility issues in its first rev, but I have V1.2 which is apparently the latest rev with the relevant hardware fixes.

Anybody have any advice/clues/experience with this? Just thought I'd ask before sending it back for a refund.

Hello,
i finally made it work. Sandisk 32Gb had the problem, then i found a Sandisk 256g, it worked.... I read many post saying that CubeODE is picky with SD, so i suggest maybe look this way. It worked foir me !
