    Where all things matter
Hey Fellow Tempers :), so some or most you don't know, I have an AMD build, and I've been having some problems with it somewhat. I just bought GTA IV and Borderlands 2, and stuff has been difficult to run properly. I know my CPU isn't on the Powerhouse side, but I have done a bit of research, and learned some games are more CPU dependent instead of GPU dependent. If anyone is willing to help make a list just to make things easier it would serve us all well.

Iirc Guild Wars 2 is CPU dependent. My build is pretty decent so I never had an issue, but I've heard of low end PCs running it.

Many of the Bethesda games are cpu intensive like fallout 3, new vegas and 4

I think all the mass effect games are too.

A GPU intensive one would be wasteland 2 for example my other toaster laptops run it but the AMD a10 with r6 radeon igpu runs it better than the core i7 haswell intel 4400 igpu does.

GTA IV is just a shit port. Borderlands 2 is massivly cpu limited

Unless it's been patched at some point to improve performance, anything short of an i5 2500K struggles.

Most big releases have benchmarks on a variety of hardware, just look there to see if the game is more cpu or gpu bound.

I ran borderlands 2 fine on a core 2 duo with everything maxed

beamng.drive is one game that pretty much relies heavily on the cpu

BL2 runs fine on my i5-750, though I only play at 1280x1024.
@OP, the link @Armadillo posted says your motherboard needs a BIOS update to play BL2.

Minecraft is a CPU intensive game. ARK: Survival Evolved is very GPU intensive.

Civilization: Beyond Earth, while CPU intensive, is optimized for AMD GPUs.
