Heres the TODO list from the source code

Important:
[ ] Add Install Game Button and Logic
[ ] Make scroll bar selectable/draggable
[ ] Remove 20 Cover GFX Limit
[ ] Improve Select/Load Game graphics

[ ] Add "Power" Button

Less Important:
[ ] Possibly Add Scrolling Sound
[ ] Add Options (Save/Load Options)
Language
Cover Directory
Disc Directory

Categorization?

So in the interface you first choose the category, could be represented by planets each having discs around them... once you choose one, it's zoomed into this interface... that way at least the whole set of discs gets divided into manageable counts... that may help cover count limitation.

dont want to sound rude but why does it take so long to load compared to other usb loaders?

Is it just me?! I think WPAD_BUTTON_RIGHT should take you from A - Z and WPAD_BUTTON_LEFT should take you from Z - A....

The current set up just doesn't feel right.

I agree... I keep on getting confused, doesn't feel intuitive at all... but I guess I just kinda figured this would be changed whenever they get the time to do it... also stuff like grabbing the scroll bar with B and dragging it left & right.

Just checked the svn and most of the code of the ultimate v7.4 was added to the project.
I've added the part of downloading covers but since i'm at work i can't test

If someone want to test just ask

If your really interested in improving this loader; I can add you to the google code project. I'd like for this to be a community project since I really don't have the time needed to add everything this loader probably needs.

The current set up just doesn't feel right.

I guess i never really thought about it. I liked that it had an "inverted" feel... but maybe I should reverse it to see how it feels.

It'll probably be a config option in the future incase other users like things backwards like me

Hey guys.

Looks like progress is going well.

Just thought I would contribute, and hopefully Gitkua looks at this and sees the benefit, if not then fair enough, it's just an idea.

This is what I think would look great aesthetically for the loader and if it could be done like this then half the work for graphics is already done. I assume the loader can handle transparencies?

Normal Scrolling would scroll left or right using the IR and the main image would always be larger and in a placeholder like in this picture:

When you press A on the main game it would bring up the following:

select.png

I also have ideas for the settings page which again is mostly done, just needs coded and bits added to it to function properly, but I am sure you and others like Don could do it fairly quickly. You seem to be getting a grasp of this stuff fast.

@Nullkill
Thank s for sharing your project mate, this will be the best loader if all the great coders of this forum help you.
Bravo!!

Also just to note, I am not trying to hijack the thread or take away ideas from others, just giving some input. Gitkua is probably working on this stuff but I havn't seen anything yet and thought I would add some ideas in a constructive way.

, but I can't guarrantee since i'm very busy these days.
The free time I have is here at work but i'm going off in a hour...
Anyway I'm on irc (efnet #gbatemp) right now.

Yeah I think CDreams stuff is pretty good if you can add it in. Also the functionality from the gui loader (auto download, vid settings etc, stability) would be good too. I like cdreams settings page.

Well... just relax, NullKill/Beardface is still working on making it fully functional, graphics will come afterwards, as it should be in any coding project. First objective is to make a functional poduct, after that you can focus on making it look good. And, as to intergrating your own graphics and stuff, you can always compile your a version that fits your needs/desires... Let NullKill finish his work and release a final, which will have eyecandy...

@CDreams, seriously dude, if you don't want to hijack this thread, post your mockups in the Coverflow7 thread...
