Holy crap this is amazing! Now this is true cover flow. Can't wait until bugs are sorted out and new features are added.

Possible solution would be to have the coverflow work as it is just now, but when you press A it brings the game box with the dvd edges where it currently loads the disc image. Like I said before this would be additional screen so you would get the best of both worlds. You have the loader work as it is now functionality wise, when you press A it brings up the disc image and asks to load, if you Press up or something it brings the game closer with a 3D look to it where it could maybe even be flipped to show the back cover.

Man I wish I could code and I would just show this stuff, so hard to try explain stuff on here. I think I really need to get a team together. My brother would probably work on it but he works full time as a level programmer/designer at Rockstar so he has no time to spare.

Seems like a nice loader. I really don't understand where the memory issues are coming from, isn't there around at least 20 MB of raw space to work with? N64 emulators can be run at somewhat decent speeds, and I've never seen a console which could do that but not display pictures efficiently.

For the disc images, does it need to be a 4-character code or can it be a 3-character code? (Or does it need the full 6?) Discs are 3 or 4 on the site, box art is 6, so I wasn't sure.

3 characters

Okay, cool. I tested it out, and I do like the flow, but at the same time if I tap a direction instead of holding it, it'd be nice if it automatically moved to the next cover. I had the issue with only a certain number of covers being loaded as expected too, no big deal there (though the disc images load no matter what, maybe that's what you meant in the first post). One other thing is it'd be nice if you could use up and down for faster scrolling, or if maybe the longer you hold down left or right, maybe it speeds up after a while.

And then the last thing, I know that on the iPhone with the touchscreen, you swipe right to go to the left, but I'm not entirely sure that makes sense when using the dpad.

Great work so far though.

Edit: Also, if you get a code dump on load, make sure that you've turned your USB drive on first.

And also, I like how everything is filling up my widescreen display without a separate version and without separate images, everything still appears to be the correct aspect ratio, mostly.

The center image looks slightly too narrow though (looks to be that way in your video too), but that's not a big deal either.

best looking loader out yet! i would love to help but the only thing i can do is give some suggestions....
1. you should make the game boxes look more 3d

2. i like the cd cover thing now if you do make the boxes look 3d you should make the interface with the cd look like the inside of a box with possibly on the other side (because theres 2 sides in a box) a screen shot or something

3. have a button you can press for more info and what each button does

4. a way to look for games more quickly (a search box in the corner or something)

if this would happen it would make this the ultimate loader!

now i have a question.... on what version is this loader based on 1.5?

This is an amazing work !

Look, I got a DUMP because my HD was not turned on...
A test if there is some USB device connect would be good !!

Thank you !

i will try this when i get home tomorrow. i doubt it will work well since you mention a "too many games" bug since i have a 500gb with about 224 games on it and all.... this is def the usb loader i want to use. cant wait until you get all the bugs worked out and maybe some 3d covers or something. i was wondering if someone had access to the wii with the original hard drive loader ( the one nintendo uses for hospitals ) if don killa or someone could somehow dump that and rewrite it?? just a thought this one is getting pretty close to the original loader of nintendos and when 3d covers or covers onlaid onto a 3d object get used on this loader it will be pretty much the same thing..

get donkilla to help you btw

The longer names don't show up properly at the bottom. "Bully: Scholarship Edition" becomes "Bully: Scholarsh".

And the pointer definitely helps for jumping through the list quicker than before, but maybe holding the buttom down should make it keep jumping through the list instead of just jumping once and then stopping?

hi very good loader but can you used a 160*225 cover size please ? all pack are in this size !

theres covers available at the correct size , and even in packs if you look , but the best way to go is to auto download the covers and discart to save any issues for users

Yeah that is what I mentioned Pepperoni. I also have very narrow cases that look way too big on my screen. It's like they are zoomed in and squished length wise.

Maybe the new release will fix it, or maybe it's something to do with my amp upscaling.

No the covers do get distorted somehow. NullKill mentioned he would focus on fixing all the graphics when everything is working the way he wants it...
